Summer | Boys Rule | Kylie Kingham.
Happy New Year friends! It’s Kylie back with you all today with a brand new layout to share. The Design Team has a theme of Holidays/Vacations this week so I am sharing my take using one of my favourite collections- Boys Rule .I’ve also added a few teency tiny pieces of More Than Words and Happiness.

I had a pretty cute photo of my little man to scrapbook, from when we had a beach holiday a few years ago.Coming from a cold climate our kids love nothing better than time at a beach. The papers ‘Expressionist’ and ‘Straight & Narrow’ were used as my background. The top paper being trimmed down slightly smaller to provide a border of contrasting colour underneath. I decided to incorporate a cut file for my design, and chose this ‘Summer’ grid from Paige Evans.

Each grid of the cut file was backed with different papers as I wanted as much colour and detail included as I could. A few of the elements were backed with papers from the other 2 collections mentioned, purely so I could have the exact colour I wanted.
My photo was traced and cut to fit the sun in the middle of the cut file. I was very careful to get it exact and to not use too much glue to adhere it, so that it wasn’t marked in any way. To complete my design I added several of the die cuts as well as phrase stickers for some mini sub-titles.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your New Year is full of scrapbooking fun!
Kylie.

I popped up the skull using craft foam and adhered the cross bones flat to the page. In the eyes of the skull, I backed one of them with one of the paper s from the
The Totally Rad collection has lots of pieces with the skull and crossbones so I pulled out what I had left and used them as embellishments. The large white and black skull and cross bones was fussy cut from the
To finish off, I added the chippie crown in the chipboard pieces pack from the
