Hey friends! It’s Kylie back with you on the blog today, with a new layout to share! My theme for today’s project was ‘Think Pink’……..um yes please! So with that in mind I couldn’t go past creating with the beautiful ‘Unforgettable’ collection. There are so many pretty pink elements in this range as well as lots of flowers so I had no trouble bringing my completed work together.
I decided to work with a white background and used the UNSCRIPTED paper as a border piece. Using some paint from my stash I created a simple watercolour background by painting some stripes with a wide paint brush and finishing with some random splatters. Some machine stitching was added around the border for texture as well.
A special feature of my layout is the beautiful heart wreath cut file I used which was designed by Cut To You. You can find these freebie cut files in store HERE. I backed the frame with some of the STORY TELLER paper.
Since I had so much colour going on in my layout my photograph was printed in black and white. I added it to my background with foam tape so that it had some dimension and height. I then proceeded to add lots of the lovely floral die cut elements in and around the base of my layout.
Some die cuts were adhered flat to my background and others with foam tape, again for giving lots of dimension to the overall finished result.
Thanks so much for checking out my layout today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing it and it gives you some inspiration for your own creating.
Hi everyone! It’s Sue Plumb here continuing on with our focus on traveler’s notebook pages. For today’s post I decided to create my first spread using the recently released, and oh-so-beautiful, ‘Unforgettable’ collection. I had a couple of photos of my sister and I that I printed in black and white, as I thought that despite being two separate pages, that they could work well side by side in my book.
I began with the 6×8″ Paper Stack, as these are the perfect sizes papers for my notebook inserts. I chose the scaled down version of the stunning butterfly Lacewing12×12″ paper for the base of my pages. I trimmed down my sheet into two pieces and placed one either side of the spine.
On the left side I then added a pink and white striped piece of paper cut from the Pretty Bits 12×12″ cut apart paper. I then adhered my photo and journalling on top. I then worked vertically from the top to the bottom to embellish my page.
At the top I used the our little moments sticker from the Accessory Stickers sheet; followed by the captured word cut from the Story Teller paper; the large butterfly fussy cut from the Pretty Bitspaper; and the small heart tab sticker from the Accessory Stickers sheet. I finished along the bottom of the page with the best things in life are free sticker and stamped the date.
I knew I needed to work in a vertical style again on the right page so that the two sides of my spread had cohesion across the design.
I started by adding the every photo has a story quote piece from the 6×8″ Paper Stack; followed by the wood grain piece from the Story Teller paper with my photo and journalling on top. Below that I added the take a photo it will last longer sticker from the Accessory Stickers sheet; then finished off with the cute pink camera from the Die Cut Ephemera pack.
For my second spread, I decided to work with the previously released ‘Happiness’ collection to document some photos of my boys and I on a day out together.
This time I was able to work with the spread as a whole, rather than two separate pages sharing a spread. I started with the 6×8″ Paper Pad, choosing the scaled down version of the Sprinkles paper as the base for my pages. I cut the sheet into two uneven pieces and placed them either side of the spine.
I then added my three photos and my journalling, which I stuck on top of a journal box cut from the Little Things paper. I also added the making memories quote card from the same paper.
Next, I added some floral pieces from the Die Cut Ephemera pack – cutting the largest piece in two and placing in on either side of the spine at the bottom of the page. I also used a couple of single flowers, which I tucked under the edges of my photos.
I then added two small phrase stickers from the Accessory Stickers sheet; and finished off with a few other elements from the ephemera pack – tickets, hearts and the title piece.
That’s all from me today, I hope I have inspired you to try some traveler’s notebook spreads if you haven’t already – it’s such a fun size to work in!
Hello CVS fans. It’s Anna here with my newest layout featuring new product in Cocoa Vanilla family. “Unforgettable” collection – the newest line designed by Zoe – features two new products. One of them is a set of foam words and second it a pretty package of bows and tassels. And this is what I will be focusing on today.
My favorite way of using any tassels is to add them to the mini albums covers creating dimensional embellishments hanging freely on the side. I also like to create garlands with paper elements and real tassels on the pages. I decided to use this second idea on my layout.
I cut out two big tags from papers with wooden pattern (did I mentioned how much I love wooden patterns?) and added stitching around them. Next step was to put a colorful string through the holes of the tags adding all four tassels from the packaging. I created kind of a lose loops and glues the string to the base paper. I wanted to use this pretty white paper with black words for a while and it was a perfect occasion.
To make the garland more complex I added two smaller tags – one from ephemera pack and one from sticker sheet. I finished the composition by adding pretty flowers here and there plus some smaller elements from ephemera pack. I also fussy cut a lot of butterflies from one of the pattern papers.
Two bows closing the composition from top and the bottom were added at the end as my final touch. I am so in love with this new “Unforgettable” line. I feel so inspired by the patterns, flowers and cute embellishments.
Thank you for stopping by and see you in two weeks with some other projects. I have in mind something different than a layout.
Amanda here, & this week the design team are shining the spotlight on the gorgeous UNFORGETTABLE TASSELS & BOWS.
I know, what a fun assignment! I couldn’t wait to get creating, and I even made a process video of this layout too!
Here’s what I came up with….
“Living The Dream”
Swoooooon!!! The UNFORGETTABLE collection has my heart!
Such a precious & beautiful layout for my two darlings! Living the dream indeed!
And nothing says ‘dream’ quite like a dreamcatcher, right? I couldn’t resist suspending the TASSELS and feather DIE CUT EPHEMERA pieces from that delicate cut file. So super pretty!
** Note: Cut file is called: Boho Dreamcatcher by Lilium Pixel SVG from the Silhouette Store **
Here’s a better look at my layout….
So very beautiful!
I started this page with a white cardstock base which I trimmed a one inch length off the left hand side. You’ll spy that I machine stitched half an inch of the beautiful woodrgrain pattern paper, CV-UF008 NATURAL BEAUTY to this side. Next, I fussy cut that darker based floral, 4″ x 6″ note card, from pattern paper, CV-004 PRETTY BITS. I trimmed this 4″ x 6″ note card so that I could butt the 6″ lengths together to create the appearance of a 12″ floral paper & then attached it to the back of the woodgrain trim. SO pretty! I love how effective this looks!
Before I adhered the Boho Dreamcatcher cut file to the page, I layered two of the larger DIE CUT EPHEMERA floral swags to the base, so that they would peek out beneath the dreamcatcher. I also removed some of the cut file feathers so that I could thread the tassels onto the cut file ‘strings’, and then covered the remaining cut file feathers with those amazing DIE CUT EPHEMERA feathers.
With the cut file prepared, I glued it onto the white cardstock base, but was careful not to glue the ‘strings’ down. By leaving the strings loose, I created a sense of realism as the TASSELS, and feathers, dangled from the dreamcatcher. This also created flow and movement, as well as soft dimension and texture! What a fabulous way to incorporate those darling TASSELS into my design! Here’s a closer look at those pretties….
They really are somethin’, aren’t they?!! And those feathers are just divine!
I embellished the rim of the dreamcatcher hoop with more pretty DIE CUT EPHEMERA florals, as well as a few fussy cut butterflies from pattern paper, CV-UF005 LACEWING. The larger butterfly is also fussy cut, but this time from pattern paper, CV-UF004 PRETTY BITS. I layered my DIE CUT EPHEMERA title, Living The Dream, over this larger butterfly & then embellished with a few of the CLEAR STICKERS too!
I framed my precious photo with one of the circular frames included in the DIE CUT EPHEMERA pack, and then foam mounted it to the center of the dreamcatcher. I love how the pattern on the circular frame reminds me of a mandala or, yes, you guessed it, the dreamcatcher! I just love repetition in design!
For finishing touches, I covered the ‘beads’ on the dreamcatcher cut file with those pretty ENAMEL DOTS, and added a tiny spot of journaling with the ACCESSORY STICKERS.
Simple. Beautiful. Amazing!!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my layout! Clearly, it was TASSELS for the win today!
You can see more in my process video for this pretty page HERE!
Hello crafty friends and welcome to another blog post. Today, I am playing with the lovely Unforgettable collection as well as some fun cut files from Cut To You!
I started my layout by choosing four 6×8 papers and cutting out these layered butterflies that I attached using my Tiny Attacher. After cutting and assembling the butterflies, I used my circle punch hoard to punch out photos of my darling friend, Charlotte as well as circle photo mats. I thought it would be fun to play with a different shape on this layout. While I had my cutting machine on, I cut out these branches with a cut file from the Cut To You shop that you can get for free!
I decided to keep embellishing around my photos pretty light as I knew that I had the larger butterflies as well as the branch elements. I chose to use some doilies for texture and add a few bits and pieces from the ephemera pack to add some color and texture. I also added a tassel and a bow to each of my photos to add more texture and visual interest to my background.
After creating my embellishment and photo clusters, I glued the circles as well as the branches to my background. I chose this woodgrain paper because I love a good woodgrain pattern and I thought it would go really well with the florals I chose for my layout. After adhering the photos and the branches, I worked on arranging the butterflies around the page. My title came from the foam titles pack and I added some enamel dots around the page for some added interest and the icing on the cake.
That’s all I have for you today, crafty friends! I hope you enjoyed this layout and are tempted to give the Unforgettable collection a try.
Mandy here today to share another layout using the GORGEOUS new Unforgettablecollection! I’m totally loving the beautiful butterflies and the florals in this collection, and I knew that I wanted to feature them on this page! I documented a photo of my eldest daughter Abigail taken earlier this year, and I used this layout as an opportunity to journal about how proud I am of her.
I started by trimming down my white cardstock background and matting it firstly with the Natural Beauty patterned paper (reverse side), then with the Unscripted paper (reverse side). I also added some machine stitching around the white cardstock to give the layout some texture.
Next I matted my photo with one of the papers from the 6×8 Paper Stack, and then I created a pretty floral cluster to the right of the photo. I used one of the larger floral die cuts as the base for the cluster, and then I tucked some extra leaves and smaller flowers into it. I finished it off with some more leaves which I cut out of white cardstock using the beautiful new Unforgettable Cut Files. These are designed by our very own design team member Gwen Wruck, and they’re available to download for FREE here.
As I said, I knew that I wanted to feature those gorgeous butterflies from the collection on this layout. I cut the larger ones out of the Pretty Bits patterned paper and the smaller ones were from the Lacewing paper. I arranged them so that they look like they’re floating from the bottom right up to the top left, giving the layout a diagonal flow. I adhered them with glue just in the middle, so that their wings would lift off the page, giving them lots of dimension.
I also created another smaller floral cluster in the bottom right hand corner of the page. Once again I used a combination of die cuts, along with leaves from the Unforgettable cut file set.
I’m LOVING the addition of the Foam Title Stickers in this collection! They make it so easy to add a title to your layout, and the scripty font is really pretty! Plus I love the contrast that the black adds against the bright colours!
I finished the layout off by adding some typed journaling strips, a few little word stickers, and a couple of the little hearts included in the Foam Title Stickers pack.
Thanks so much for joining me here on the blog today! I hope that you’ve been inspired by my layout! I’ll be back later in the month to share some more inspiration with you!
Hi scrappy friends! Guest designer Danni here, sharing another layout featuring the gorgeous Unforgettable collection. I have been having so much fun creating with this collection, and this time I decided I had to dive into those delicious florals and make a beautiful romantic layout.
I used Natural Beauty and Sprightly patterned papers to create a diamond-shaped background, including some torn vellum for texture.
I had this lovely roses cutfile sitting in my stash, so I decided to incorporate that, backing it with several patterned papers from the 6×8 paper stack and some more vellum. I popped it up off the page by adding some dimensional foam behind the patterned paper.
My photo was matted using the lovely turquoise and black & white spotty papers from the 6×8 paper stack, and I distressed the edges to add texture. For my title I cut this beautiful quote card from the Story Teller cut-apart paper and backed it with the peach paper from the 6×8 paper stack to make it pop against the black & white photo.
To embellish the page, I went to town with the florals from the ephemera pack. I adore florals and this ephemera set is packed full of the most stunning floral die cuts. I used the two largest clusters at the top-right and bottom-left of the diamond to emphasise the diagonal flow of the page, drawing the eye across my photo and title. I added some smaller florals either side of my photo with some of the beautiful leafy springs from the ephemera pack.
To finish off the layout I scattered three tiny word stickers from the accessory sticker sheet, added some delicate white ink splatters and sprinkled some of the white enamel dots from the collection around my large floral clusters.
This layout turned out so dreamy and romantic, I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to add this layout to my wedding album. I really hope you enjoyed this layout today, thank you for joining me!
Amanda here, & today I am sharing a super pretty layout with our beautiful new UNFORGETTABLE collection. You’ll spy lots of fussy cutting, butterflies and blooms and discover which pattern paper is my new favorite! But enough chatter, here’s my latest creation with UNFORGETTABLE…..
“Love This”
Sigh! Love this, indeed! Such a beautiful layout of my two darlings!
And as for my new favorite pattern paper? Well, it has to be that divine wreath paper, CV-003 GARLAND – gosh it’s so super pretty!!! You’ll notice that I actually used two sheets of CV-003 GARLAND to create today’s scrapbook page!
I started my layout with GARLAND as the base, but wanted to do a little more to highlight it’s magnificence. I loved the mint arc in the wreath, and decided to ‘fill’ inside the wreath with this very same colour (which happens to be the reverse side of – you guessed it, the GARLAND paper! ). To fill this space, I used a Cut To You cut file called, Flower Circle and backed the flowers and leaves with an assortment of papers from the 6 x 8 PAPER STACK. Next, I backed the entire circle with the reverse side of GARLAND – I just love mint watercolor wash of this pattern! Here’s a closer look….
As I’d already cut into a second sheet of GARLAND, I decided to make the most of it, and fussy cut the floral section of the wreath. I foam mounted both the cut file and fussy cut blooms, and adhered them to the layout. I positioned the Flower Circle in the center of the wreath, and layered the fussy cut GARLAND blooms around the edge of it. By doing this, it revealed the original wreath below, and created the appearance of a thicker & fuller arrangement of blooms. Gor-jus!!!
Aren’t those florals just errrrything?!! LOVE!
I tucked my darling photograph into the top right section of both the cut file & fussy cut wreath, and embellished it with the ‘smile’ FLAIR BUTTON. Next, I fussy cut a large pink butterfly from pattern paper, CV-UF004 PRETTY BITS and tucked it beneath my photo. To enhance this decoration, I added two more butterflies around my photo – a CLEAR STICKER butterfly, and a DIE CUT EPHEMERA piece!
There’s no denying that UNFORGETTABLE is the prettiest release of 2019! So.much.gorgeousness!!!
The new FOAM TITLE STICKERS are all kinds of awesomeness too! I curved my love this title around the outer edge of the wreath arc, and then embellished with a couple more butterflies…
For finishing touches, I added a tiny spot of journaling with the sentiment stickers from the ACCESSORY STICKERS sheet.
Simple, beautiful creating with the new UNFORGETTABLE collection!
I hope my layout has inspired you to get creating with some Cocoa Vanilla Studio lovelies today!
Hello sweet friends it’s Kylie back with you today with a new layout, featuring the gorgeous ‘Unforgettable’ collection. When I first received this beautiful new range I straight away saw you could have varying colour way options for a project. I love pinks and mauve’s but for today’s layout I went through and pulled out different grey apricot and mint green elements. I also added some bold black embellishments too!
For my border piece I selected the GLORIOUS paper and decided that I would also use it to cut my cut file from. I selected a heart wreath with a square sectioned centre for my cut file, designed by The Cut Shoppe. Using the muted soft colours I had selected from the papers I alternated each heart as well as the squares. I chose a cute phrase from the 6 x 8″ paper stack which once trimmed down fitted perfectly in one square.
I added some foam to the back of my completed cut file before adhering to my background page. A freehand border was added around the edge with a fine tip black pen.
As always the floral die cuts are simply divine and always my favourite! I added some neat clusters at opposite sides of my heart for balance. I also used some cotton from my stash to back behind one of the button flairs.
To complete my layout I chose a title from the foam title stickers to add to the lower edge of my heart.
Thanks for dropping by the blog today and seeing my new layout. I hope it gives you some inspiration for some of your own projects!
Mandy here with you today, and I’m super excited to be sharing my first layout using the brand new Unforgettablecollection! I’m totally loving everything about this new collection, especially those gorgeous colours and the stunning florals! I decided to scrapbook some candid photos of my youngest daughter Eleanor on this layout. I just love the way they capture her joyful and carefree personality, and I think this collection was perfect for documenting this happy memory.
I started my layout off by trimming about half an inch off the top and bottom edges of my white cardstock background, and I then tucked a strip of the Pretty Bits patterned paper under each of those edges. Next I chose four papers from the 6×8 Paper Stack and I layered them together to create a matt for my photos to sit on. I didn’t add adhesive all the way to the edges of the patterned papers as I wanted to give the layout some more interest by lifting the corners of the papers up a little.
I also used a couple of the patterned papers from the 6×8 Paper Stack to matt my photos with. I adhered the bottom photo using craft foam to give it some extra dimension.
There are so many gorgeous pieces in the die cut ephemera pack, and I used a few of these to create an embellishment cluster to the right of the top photo. How pretty are those florals?! You can also see here that I added a flair button to the cluster as well.
To balance out the first cluster, I created another one to the left of the bottom photo. This gives the layout a diagonal flow, drawing the viewer’s eye from the bottom left to the top right. This second cluster includes some more die cut ephemera pieces as well as a sticker from the accessory sticker sheet.
I LOVE the new Foam Title Stickers in this collection, and I couldn’t resist using one of the foam words as the title for my layout. It’s a quick and easy way to add a gorgeous eye-catching title to a page!
I finished the layout off with a sprinkling of enamel dots as well as a few little word stickers.
I love how this page turned out, and I can’t wait to create some more projects using this stunning collection!
