Easter Gift Boxes and Card | Daydream | Rachel Lowe

Hello CVS friends, today I want to share some quick and easy gift boxes and a card I have created using Daydream Collection. With Easter not far away (and I love easter creating way more than Christmas) Daydream was perfect with  its beautiful muted colours to create Easter paper crafts.

You can find the milk carton cut file in the Silhouette Design Store. I cut the base of the milk cartons using Stepping Stones paper. I used papers from the 6×8 inch paper stack to cut the tops, using Garden Variety, Up in the Clouds and Sweet Serenity designs.

Next I cut three bunnies again using the 6×8 inch paper stack papers, I embossed the bunnies cut from plain paper but left the floral bunny as it was patterned. I added a small pom pom for the tails. Next I added word sentiments from the Accessory sticker sheet.

I cut three rosettes to attach my bunnies to, this really adds a wow factor. I then added some die cut ephemera to embellish. These will be filled with sweet treats and given as gifts.

I made this super cute Easter card which is so easy to put together and time friendly. I cut a 5×5 inch paper strip using the Garden Variety paper again. I then added Happy Place paper to back the circle wreath die cut piece. Before adding this to the centre of my card I added some sparkley ribbon. I cut another bunny (different style) resized it to fit my card and added off centre in the wreath. I added a pom pom tail and a phrase sentiment from the Accessory Sticker sheet.

SPECIAL LITTLE MOMENTS | UNFORGETTABLE | GWEN WRUCK

Hey Creative Friends, Happy New Year to you all. I’m back on the blog today kicking off the 2021 inspiration with a scrapbook layout share for Cocoa Vanilla Studio. For this page, I thought it would be fun to scrap this black and white photo of myself, taken at the end of 2020 at my local ballet studio.

For this page, I was inspired by the current Inspiration board, in particular, the image with all of the frames in it and the quote that says ‘This is where the fun stuff happens’. Be sure to pop by the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Facebook Community for more details on how to play along.

To begin my page, I backed a cut file from CUT to YOU called ‘Snapshots‘, with pattern papers from the ‘Pretty Bits‘ pattern paper, the ‘Story Teller‘ cut apart sheet and papers from the 6×8 pattern paper pad. I’ve also backed my photo with the pattern paper ‘Lacewing‘ and stitched around the edge for added detail.

I’ve placed my backed cut file centred on the page and added a frame to my background using the ‘Natural Beauty‘ pattern paper.

Now it was time to embellish. For this, I worked with a visual triangle to create three clusters around my page. I’ve chosen elements from the Ephemera Pack, Die Cut Accessory Stickers and a Flair button.

My main focus for creating the clusters was to balance out the colours on the page, especially the pops of black. I’ve also made sure to represent all of the colours in the inspiration board including the soft Apricot/Peach tone you can see below in the butterflies.

Here’s a close up of all the lovely layers of my page.

To finish off my page, I’ve added in some of the Enamel Dots in the two tones of Pink.

Holly Jolly memory keeping | Merry and Bright | Kylie Kingham.

Hello friends! It’s Kylie back with you today and I’m SO excited to be sharing my very first project with the brand new ‘Merry & Bright’ collection. This fab new range is perfect for any festive scrapbooking or crafty project you have in mind. For something different, I wanted to create some smaller scale, memory keeping pages in my traveller’s notebook.

I like to add a paper background to the pages of my TN and always make sure I trim them slightly smaller than the page. Not only does this create a lovely paper border but it is practical in the sense that as I fill my TN I wont have trouble with pressure on the spine and pages getting crumpled or coming apart.

For interest, I have layered some papers together to create a border. I’ve used a craft border punch and scalloped edged scissors to give a nice decorative finish to each layered paper. The gingerbread houses from the die cut pack were so cute! I’ve layered several over the top of my paper edge borders to support my image.

For the opposite page I have layered several of the gorgeous Christmas blooms, again from the die cut pack. Whilst each double page ‘blends’ design concept wise, I don’t necessarily create a mirror image design to the opposite page.

For this next double page design. I used the fun spotted side of the ‘Happy Holidays’ paper with a decorative border edge using the ‘Jingle All The Way’ paper. So that my photos are framed, I have backed them with some of the ‘Count Down’ paper.

You can add some journaling to your pages but I have kept it fairly simple and create some short phrases to suit using the sticker sheet.

Did someone say ‘gold metallic fabric stars?’ Umm yes please!! These were perfect for embellishing the photo of my son and I love that they aren’t too thick and bulky for my TN pages.

Sunshine Days layout | Daydream | Kylie Kingham.

Hello happy scrappie friends! It’s Kylie back with you today with another layout featuring the ‘Daydream’ collection. I wanted to create yet another soft and feminine layout for my daughter with a focus on…You guessed it- flowers! I’ve also incorporated a ‘lacey’ Butterfly cut file which was designed by Paige Evans.

I’ve used the ‘GARDEN VARIETY’ paper as my background, which isn’t the first time I’ve used this paper, I just can’t help it! It’s my most favourite shade of blue! I’ve added a 1.5″ torn strip of the reverse side of this paper to the lower edge and distressed the edges a little more. I then cut into the top edge 1.5″ down and folded it back, securing it with some small staples. A piece of the ‘SUN STRIP’  paper was added in behind for contrast.

Once the cut file design had been cut out I chose to back it with a solid piece of the ‘STEPPING STONES’ paper. The soft and delicate ‘washed’ effect of this paper design stood out really nicely on the darker background. The Butterfly was then adhered to my background on an angle and with using foam tape, so that it sat up off the background page.

My photo was printed to smaller scale so that it fitted neatly over the Butterfly. Once it was in place I began layering some of the lovely floral die cuts surrounding it.

Using some of the die cut titles, I create a large title for my page. It was added to the opposite side of my photo with more layered, floral die cuts for balance.To complete my page I added some of the typed phrase stickers below my photo.

Love This Life | Daydream collection | Kylie Kingham.

Hey sweet friends. It’s me!…..Kylie back with you all on the blog today. I’m SO excited to be sharing my new layout design with you as it is the first I have created with the new ‘Daydream’ collection. I have to say it, this collection is yet another stunner! Very, VERY daydreamy indeed.

The ‘DAISY DAYS’ paper was selected as my main background and I have added the ‘SWEET SERENTIY’ paper angled over the top, to which I had used a border punch from my craft stash around the edges for a ‘lacey’ effect.Then I added a piece of the ‘ALL AFLUTTER’ paper over the top. Some machine stitching was added around the edges of this piece of paper to add a lovely ‘rustic’ appearance to my completed design.

Next I added some ‘white washing’ to my background page, just to soften it a little. I did this by mixing a small amount of white paint 50/50 with some water and using a wide paintbrush to add some streaks across the page. Once dry it give s a very subtle effect. My photos were printed smaller at 2.5″x 2.5″ and backed with the ‘UP IN THE CLOUDS’ paper. I adhered these on an angle with foam tape so that they would sit up from the background, giving a little dimension.

The die cuts in the ‘DAYDREAM’ collection are soooo pretty! I have layered floral clusters on a diagonal to support and embellish my photos. Some were also added with foam tape, again to create dimension.

To complete my page I created a lovely big title from the die cut titles. I also added some sub title phrases from the sticker sheet.Once I had finished I was so happy with the softness of my page.
