Hello CVS friends, today I have a layout to share using a mix of the older collections, Wild at Heart, Midnight , Unforgettable and Make a Wish collections.Instead of my go to white cardstock I used the beautiful and subtle grey white washed wood grain paper Artisan. I wanted a real pop of colour so used the bright pink paper Hooray. I have used a large scallop hand punch to create a border each side of the Wild at Heart Vellum sheet which is 4 x12 inches. I added machine stitching to each side of the pink border strips.I added my photo off centre with foam tape and finished off with a bow from Unforgettable collection.I have not matted my photo knowing I was going to be adding layered flowers which would draw the eye to the photo.I have used two different cut files from the Silhouette Design store to create my layered flowers but for those who do not have a cutting machine use a hand punch, punching at least 3 and then layer with foam tape. If you want to recreate these centres, they are super easy! Cut a 12 inch strip at 1/2 an inch. fringe cut with a pair of scissors and then roll as you would any rolled flowers. Once the glue has dried then push outwards all the way around, then glue to the centre of your flowers. I have used Inky Depths paper from the Midnight collection to create my flowers. You will see that I then tucked in-between the flowers fussy cut butterflies, some die cut leaves and a sentiment from the accessory stickers.I then created my title using Happiness die cut titles. I added some more fussy cut butterflies around my title adding some Unforgettable enamel dots.I love using word and phrase sentiments from the Accessory Stickers sheets and you can see I added some more under my photo and under my large title. And there you have it, I love how this turned out! A great colour palette even though I have used several different collections. Don’t be put off because of the flowers on this layout, you can make. beautiful one’s too, time to blow the dust off those punches!
Thank you for stopping by today and feel free to leave any questions you may have on this layout in the comments. See you soon, stay safe and well!
Hey CVS friend, today I have some boy love to share! I have used the fab new Legendary collection.I have used a fun cut file from Silhouette Design store, I chose it so I could use more of the designs on one layout.
I cut my white card stock down to 10×10 inches and adhered it to the Wild One paper. Keeping to the rule of thirds, I chose three papers to paper piece the cut file, Wild One – yellow side, All Star paper and One Way paper. I used foam tape to adhere the finished cut file to create a 3D effect.I then added my photo and again with foam to create more height. I chose to create an embellishment cluster around my photo, using the die cut ephemera and accessory stickers. How gorgeous is the geometric bear I tucked behind my photo!I used the accessory stickers to add my subtitle/journalling.
I have used more foam tape to add die cuts to create more height and added some enamel dots under some of the die cuts.I love all these colours together but because I didn’t want my layout to look ‘too’ busy I was careful when it came to my embellishing.
And there you have it one super colourful and super fun boy layout! Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful week!
Hey scrappy friends, I hope you are doing well in these challenging times. Here is a layout to brighten your day! I have used the beautiful Unforgettable collection.
I have gone a little old school with this layout using lots of different shaped and coloured border strips. So get those those border punches out! If you have a cutting machine then you will be able to do the same. Mine measure 6 inches horizontally, so the 6×8 inch paper stack is perfect to use. I added a row of machine stitching on the border strips to add texture.
I added my 3.5×3.5 inch photo slightly off centre and with foam tape, I chose not to mat or frame my photo because I didn’t want to look too ‘busy’.
I then added my title using the Foam Title Stickers which really stands out against the colours chosen for the border strips.
I added a floral bunch to the top of my photo, I fussy cut some of the floral bunches from the Garland paper and also adding some smaller Die Cut Ephemera pack .
I did the same to the bottom of my photo creating another floral bunch.
I used two sentiment phrases from the Accessory Sheet and over the top I added a paint brush stroke from the Clear Stickers sheet. I added two hearts from the Foam Title Stickers under my sub to draw your eye.
To finish off I fussy cut butterflies from the Lacewing paper and placed them in a way on my layout so they looked like they were fluttering around (I also added with foam tape). A light splattering of black paint optional!
Well that’s it from me today but I hope this layout inspired you in some way. Thank you for stopping by and see you all again soon. Happy scrapping!
Hello CVS crafty friends, I hope you are all doing well and staying safe during these challenging times! Today I have a layout featuring the fab new Legendary collection. With Easter nearly upon us I wanted to create an Easter themed layout, so I chose colour, patterns and elements from the collection to do so. I have used a Easter Egg Wreath cut file from the Silhouette Design store.
I have used the Total Legend paper for the spring flowers on the wreath. I then chose Wild One paper to cut the super cute bunnies in the yellow and then used the reverse side (cuttting the blue/green stripes from the pattern) to paper back one of the eggs. I cut out the 3×4 inch journal card from the reverse of the Total Legend paper, white with yellow triangles and cut three stripes to go the egg. For the final egg I cut the dark green 3×4 inch journal card from the Total Legend paper and paper backed it, creating a contrast against the white.
I added some machine stitching to the branches of the wreath to add texture and definition. I used enamel drops from the collection for the centre of the flowers. I added a small white pom pom to each of the bunnies tails.
I have used two photos, one being 3×3 inches and the other 2.5×2.5 inches. I matted the larger photo on the blue cut apart paper from the Total Legend paper and the smaller photo on a green square (again from Total Legend paper), adding the smaller photo with foam tape to create height. I also added some machine stitching around the larger photo mat and finished off adding a Flair appropriate to my photo and the Sweet As sticker from the Accessory Sticker Sheet.
To break up the white of the page I added some bright coloured paint splotches from the Clear Stickers and added under two of the bunnies.
To create my title I used the Super word from the Clear Stickers and adding a blue paint brush stroke clear sticker over it, finished off with a word sentiment from the Accessory Sticker Sheet.
Well that’s it from me today, thank you for stopping by and sending you all a virtual hug from Australia.
Hi CVS friends today I have a mini album to share which I created for my sons up and coming 18th birthday. This album is a tag flip album inside an album cover, inspired by Lorilei Murphy (@roseposey_studio). My album is created using the awesome new collection Legendary. I will add my photos later.
To make the album cover cut a 10×5 inch strip from BRAVE HEART paper. Cut another strip at 3×5 inches from the ALL STAR paper. Using a bone scorer, score the larger paper strip at 4.5 in from the edge and then do the same from the other side which leaves the centre fold at 1 inch. Score the smaller strip at 1 inch both sides. Before attaching binder strip I added machine stitching to the edges of both paper strips. I then embellished the cover keeping in mind the theme for my son.
I punched a whole in the centre of the back album cover and added an eyelet for strength. So I could add more photos and a letter for him I added a envelope to the inside using the ALL STAR Paper, adding a velcro dot so it would stay closed and finished off adding a die cut from the EPHEMERA pack and an ACCESSORY STICKER.
Now its time to create the tag flip. I first chose the papers I want to use and journal cards from the EPIC TALES paper (I used both sides for the album pages) and added machine stitching to all of them to add texture and visual interest. I created another cover so to speak, 18 Legendary (perfect!).
Some of the ephemera die cuts I used I added stitching to them, like this star, it really adds a wow factor. I hand cut some tags to vary the paper shape and sizes. I also used foam tape to create a 3D effect.
The largest paper strip for tag album is 3×4 inches so it fits perfectly inside the cover.
Not all pages have spaces for photos, they are inspirational quotes for my boy!
I used some of the paint brush strokes from the CLEAR STICKERS on some of the white background paper strips to add a little mixed media feel.
I cut 2×2 inch paper strips as frames for my photos when I add them. You can see I used the ACCESSORY sticker sheet to add word and phrase sentiments.
I added FLAIRS and ENAMEL dots from the collection for finishing touches.
The other papers I used for the tag pages were WILD ONE and TOTAL LEGEND.
I had such fun making this album and tag flip, LEGENDARY the perfect collection! Thank you for stopping by today and stay safe and well in these current times.
Hi all, Rachel here! I am loving all the boy layouts on the blog currently, the new Legendary Collection is so fab that’s for sure! Here is my first layout featuring a photo of my three boys.
I used this wild bear cut file as the main element of my page, the Outdoors Type paper just so perfect with it’s two colour tones and map print. I added it to my base paper, Offbeat with foam tape. I had already worked out my title so added a clear sticker word (Adventure) and the Let’s Go flair.
My photo is 4×6 inches long as I wanted it to centre it above the bear but needed room to add another die cut ephemera word to complete my title. I used the clear sticker paint brush strokes to frame my photo, using several of the colour options. I also added a smaller green one over my title word Epic.
I added in a random manner die cut ephemera stars around the border and to add texture I added messy machine stitching.
I added some blue paint splotches clear stickers around the bears paws so it gave the illusion of water splashing as he is walking (well that’s the picture in my head lol!).
I finished off my layout using an Accessory Sticker so I could add the date later and a clear sticker arrow. This layout is easy and quick to put together, having a mixed media base paper and a large cut file really just leaved the finer details to add.
The wild bear cut file is available in the Silhouette Design store. Thank you for stopping by today and see you again later in the month where I have a super cute mini album to share using Legendary of course!
Hello CVS friends I hope you are having a fab week! My photo is of me in Croatia (because a pretty bike like this has to be scrapped!), I made my husband take about 50 shots as historically he takes terrible photos, out of the 50 odd shots I got one where the actual bike and me ended up in the photo lol!!!!!
I have used Unforgettable collection and the bike with flower baskets cut file is by Paige Evans/Silhouette Design store.I cut a piece of white cardstock at 10×10 inches matting it on Unscripted paper. I then set about create tiny flowers to fill the baskets. I used Forget-Me-Not paper to create them and a flower punch that I had in three sizes. I used white NUVO crystal drops in the centres.I then paper pieced the bike and hearts, I used Garland paper turquoise side, for the baskets I used Glorious paper the grey side and finally I used Class Act paper from Love Always collection.I used the Clear Stickers from Unforgettable collection, butterflies and the paint brush stroke which I added under my photo (as I chose not to matt it). I added some Accessory Stickers under my photo. My photo is 5×4 inches.I chose a Flair from the collection which is also my title, choosing it over a traditional title as I didn’t want my layout to become cluttered.
This layout is all about pretty! Well that’s it from me today, thank you for taking the time to stop by. See you again soon!
Hey there CVS friends! Well here is the boy themed layout as chosen by you earlier in the month. I have used a mix of Boys Rule and You Rock collections.
I love grids and this is the basis of my design.
I used Boys Rule Messed Up paper as my background paper, who doesn’t love a paper where the mixed media is done for you! I then cut a 3×12 inch of Boys Rule Straight & Narrow paper and attached vertically to my base paper. I then hand punched different sized stars from Boys Rule Star Fall paper and arranged, slightly tucking some under the green paper and added some with foam tape slightly over the green paper. I added a row of stitching on the right side of the green strip to add texture.
I decided on a grid of three which allowed me one square for my photo and two to embellish. I started at the top creating an embellishment cluster, cutting a 3×3 inch square from Boys Rule Fun & Games paper. I added some random messy machine stitching and added a paper strip from the You Rock black cross paper. I then used the die cut ephemera from Boys Rule to embellish and finishing off with a flair from You Rock collection.
I next added my photo which is 2×2 inches, I used a die frame from the die cut pack and then matted onto Boys Rule Fun & Games denim square. I finished this off with some phrases from the Boys Rule Accessory Stickers and a flair from Made of Awesome collection.
I used another die cut frame for the Rubber tag Awesome. I used another phrase die cut and finished this off with enamel crosses from Made of Awesome collection, which I also added to the corners of my base page.
My title is created using Foam titles from Unforgettable collection (they don’t count as girl on this page lol!), they add such a wow factor in strong black with added height, a close second fav of mine, clear stickers being my absolute fav!
Of course you could add more photos, make your grid with 5 squares instead of three! I hope I lived up to the hype of creating a boy layout to inspire you. I can’t wait until the new boy collection Legendary arrives.
Hi all Rachel here! Wishing you all a Happy 2020 and may it be a fun and creative year.
Today I am revisiting a beautiful holiday in Italy, with the photo in my layout taken in Capri. You certainly do not have to use a vacation themed collection to memory keep your holidays as my layout shows you. I have used Unforgettable collection to document my vacation snap.
I used the florals as the main feature on my layout, keeping a tropical, summery feel. I firstly added my photo which is 3×3 inches with a white border. I then started arranging the floral die cut ephemera at the top and side of my photo. I have layered and some I have added with foam tape which stops the floral bunches looking ‘flat’ finished off with some extra die cut leaves tucked under.
I had to add the die cut camera because holidays and cameras are a must! Again I used foam tape to add and added some of the clear sticker hearts. I used a sticker ‘the Story’ from the accessory sticker sheet to form my journalling. I typed my location and date onto white cardstock and added under the sticker.
I created my title using the foam title stickers and added more journalling using the accessory stickers. To break up the white I added a small clear sticker over it.
I added butterflies, some clear stickers, some die cuts and others fussy cut from the 6×8 inch paper. I have added in a way that they connect from the bottom of my page, going in a diagonal direction to the top of my page.
I added another floral piece which was fussy cut from the garland paper, I added a clear sticker paint brush stroke behind the bunch to add a stark contrast. I added enamel dots from the collection under the butterflies, floral bunches and on the camera lens. Lastly I added a light splatter of black color shine to break up the white of my page.
I love how this turned out, white space can really enhance your other elements. Thank you for popping in today and I hope this has inspired you to get scrapping those holiday snaps! See you again soon.
Hi CVS friends! Well I still can’t quite believe that 2019 is almost over and Christmas is upon us! Today I am sharing my fav CVS 2019 layouts. My fav layouts are all about pretty, which Happiness and Unforgettable collections certainly are!
My first share is a layout created using Unforgettable and a fab heart cut file.I adore the clear stickers, especially the paint brush strokes, an easy way to create a mixed media look to your layout.
My second fav layout was created using Happiness collection documenting my love of coffee! This quote is right on point I think!!!!
Lastly a summer layout created using Happiness (again) and a stunning pineapple cut file as the feature piece. How stunning are the die cut florals layered on the pineapple!
And I had to include this sweet gift bag I created using Unforgettable, this colour combo is so beautiful and the tassel from the collection, love!
Thank you for stopping by today for my last blog post of 2019. I have loved sharing my projects with you and being a part of the CVS tribe. I wish you all a safe and blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year, roll on 2020!
