Super Hero | Legendary Layout | Anna Komenda

Hello CVS Friends. It’s Anna here with another project made with brand new “Legendary” collection. This line is so easy to work with and you have to believe me as I am not used to using masculine lines. I made this page in about 30 minutes which is almost a record for me. “Legendary” is a very colorful collection with almost all colors from the rainbow in it. However this time I decided to focus on yellow, orange and blue. I took those colors from the picture of my cute nephew.

I started with white background and some colorful splatters made with mists. It’s such an easy and fast way to add some unique touch to your pages. Second step was to pick three patterned papers and cut them into pieces. I also added decorative edge made with border puncher. If don’t have any, you can just tear off the edge of paper to add a little bit of mess.

Next step was to add photos over the layered papers and some title made with amazing product – Die cut titles. You have so many words to choose from and they are designed the way, you can also make longer phrases.

I love adding simple shapes to my projects and “Legendary” collection has great set of stars in various sizes and colors. I choose three bigger ones from Ephemera pack to create a visual triangle. I also added small stars from Clear stickers set and added them here and there.

I finished my page with few ephemera pieces, mostly tags and tickets, and few enamel dots. I am so happy how it all turned out. Tt will be a perfect addition to the gift for upcoming birthday of this little super hero.

Stay Unique | Happiness Collection | Melissa Vining

Hello everyone, its Melissa with you today and I’m so excited because its my first post for CVS!! I’ve created a layout with the gorgeous ‘Happiness’ collection because my Legendary is somewhere in transit, slowed down by the COVID-19 global pandemic. I used the Large Die Cut & Backing Set and decided to be bold (for me) by chain stitching the heart in back embroidery floss.

The photo is of our gorgeous yet cheeky 3 year old daughter Ava.  I’ve been having some fun with the filters on Instagram, and I was so happy that she stayed still for a couple of seconds for me to take this sweet photo.  I used an Instagram Filter and it turned out so sweet! The equivalent photo of me – not so much!!!

The chain stitching took me hours to complete but was worth it for the texture it added to my layout.  I just worked on it in the evenings while I watched Netflix.  I ended up getting into quite the rhythm, and found it very relaxing!

I don’t have much of this collection left because I love it so much, so I embellished with some fussy cut butterflies from both the 12×12 paper and the 6×8 paper stack, resulting in two different sizes of butteries. I created an embellishment cluster around my photo with layered and distressed papers, vellum, stickers and die cuts. I added dimension with craft foam and pop dots.  My final touch was to add Nuvo Dream Drops in Gold Luxe, and some black mist splatters.

Thirteen | Legendary | Kylie Kingham.

Hello everyone! It’s Kylie with you again, back with another layout featuring the ‘Legendary’ collection.My son is having a birthday very, very soon and I wanted to create a page capturing him at this age.You will see I have incorporated a ‘Thirteen’ cut file into my background. This has been designed by Paige Evans.

I’ve layered papers ‘Wild One’ and ‘Total Legend’ together to create a framed background. I also drew a free hand border close to the edge with a black fine tip marker. I ended up cutting the ‘Thirteen’ cut file three times to add to my background. These were backed with some of my favourite coloured papers from the collection, before being adhered to the background with foam tape. By doing this, helped make them look like they were ‘floating’ on my background.

With so much going on in my background, I really didn’t feel I needed to add a lot of embellishments to support my photos. A few colour co-ordinated stars were tucked in behind, as well as some of the phrase quote stickers which act as a smaller sub-title, supporting my photo theme. I also couldn’t resist adding in one of the fun Flair Buttons.

To finish my layout I added in a few small clusters of the enamel dots, which just provided a nice balance to my photo cluster.

Epic | Legendary Collection | Tarrah McLean

Hi friends,

It’s Tarrah back with you today to share a new layout using the awesome Legendary collection!

I love how versatile this collection is, it can be used for boy projects, travel projects and even girl projects! Make sure to check your local or favourite online scrapbook store and get your hands on it!

I started out by trimming some of the papers into a few different sizes and arranged them on a white cardstock background. I chose the white arrow paper to feature my photo and some of the main embellishments. My photo is one of my eldest son looking handsome and going to his Year 6 farewell night a few years back.

 

 

I love the star die-cuts in the ephemera pack, I added the grey ones in 3 places to create a visual triangle on my page. I like how this takes your eye around the page. In between 2 of the stars I added some of the clear sticker stars, I like how this adds a bit more impact to the die-cut ones.

Inside the large grey star, I added one of the large circle Authentic die-cuts, I used craft foam underneath it to raise it up, I like how it gives it shadow and dimension. I also added the ‘Epic’ die-cut title below my photo, this became my title for my page. The flairs are awesome in this collection so I added the ‘Let’s Go’ one on this page since the photo is my son getting into the car! I also added the ‘Admit One Adventure Pass’ ticket just above the flair also.

Good boy | Legendary Mini album | Anna Komenda

Hello my sweet friends. We continue to inspire you with projects made with brand new “Legendary” collection. I made travel themed layout with this line already and this time I decided to make a mini album. I am a mom of two girls and very lovely beagle dog Pirat. It was a great opportunity to change pink and glitter into some other color palette :) After all, he also deserves his own pages, right?

I decided to use circles as a base of my album. I picked some solid patterns from the papers included into “Legendary” collection: All star, Offbeat, Wild one, Total legend, Explorer, One way, Outdoor type and Brave heart. They are very colorful and perfect for any type of project, not only masculine ones.

I used every single item from “Legendary” in this album. Various products add various textures and this is something I am always aiming for. This line can be easily mixed with some older boyish collections from CVS – “Boys rule” and “You rock“. I used some bits and pieces from them to add some decorative hanging element on the album ring.

Each page holds one or two pictures taken during different occasions. My boy is fancy, lazy, sporty, elegant and crazy. “Legendary” line is filled with pretty starts so you can find this motif on almost every page. I mixed them with tabs and words from sticker sheet and ephemera pack. I also added few flair buttons and titles from Titles pack. I finished my project adding enamel dots. here are all the pages included into this mini book:

That is all for today. Do you like my album? Isn’t Pirat the cutest dog ever? It was so fun to scrapbook so many pictures of him at once. He is already a senior dog with 13 years behind him so I cherish every single photo I have. Despite his age he is still full of live and loves to play.

Hey Good Lookin’ | Legendary | Kylie Kingham.

Hello scrappy friends. It’s Kylie back with you all today and I have a brand new layout to share! I’ve still been catching up on my sons album so there couldn’t be a more perfect collection to use than the new ‘Legendary’ collection.For this layout I really wanted to combine lots of colour as well as build dimension with lots of layers.

I began by adding some randomly cut strips of various papers, that have had all the edges distressed. I had no set mind map for this, each were layered over each other until I was happy with the balance of their positioning.A decorative border piece was also added to the right side of my layout vertically. A decorative border punch from my stash help created the ‘chain’ effect.

A lot of co-ordinating papers were selected and cut down to support my photo.The edges were again distressed a little for effect and I used another border punch to help make some look like torn notebook pages.Foam tape was used to build these layers behind my photo and I really liked the effect it gave.

Once I was happy with how everything was sitting I added in some of the fun die cuts.For colour, I also added some of the adhesive enamel dots to finish.

Incredible adventure | Legendary | Anna Komenda

Hello Cocoa Vanilla fans. It’s Anna here with fresh from the oven page. I got my stash of brand new “Legendary” collection and I knew I had to use it right away. You know I am a mom of two girls, big fan of flowers and pink, but Cocoa Vanilla masculine lines are always so colorful that I would want them anyway. “Legendary” line is also perfect for all your outdoor adventures and this it the way I decided to use it first. I am planning some mini album with my oldest, furry child, who is a good boy but I needed a warm up first.

I was very inspired by the paper with a map pattern “Outdoors type”. Because let’s be honest – what can be better as a background for travel page? The problem is that I love the B side too… Such a pretty wooden pattern. So I combined them both :) They look amazing with my photos taken in Tatry mountains during our first (me and hubby) trip as a couple. It was time before fancy cameras and I do not have many decent photos from that time. I managed to pick few when we were reaching a high peak using a cable car. Landscape from above looked amazing that day.

I picked some ephemera pieces that may fit the travel theme and gathered then under the photos. I also added a title using a word from “Die cut titles”. This is such an amazing product and it makes adding titles so easy. You can use words separately or build longer sentences.

I also have an idea for a very simple embellishment – add little wooden sticks to the flags included into ephemera pack and you will have some dimensional element to add to your projects. I placed my flags over the mountains silhouettes.

I finished my page adding date stamp, few stars and enamel dots. Did you noticed that they are back to the CVS products range? “Unforgettable” collection had them and this line also has matching ones. I love this product and I am so happy to see it back.

Cool Dude | Legendary | Kylie Kingham.

Hello sweet friends, it’s Kylie with you all today with a brand new project to share. The new ‘Legendary’ collection arrived a short time ago on my doorstep and I could not wait to get creating some more scrap pages for my son. As always it has the yummiest colour palette and the embellishments are perfect for the boys in your life. I couldn’t resist and have created a double page layout.

I really love creating double page layouts! They are particularly good if you have a series of photos you would like to scrapbook all together. For me personally, I find these types of layouts come together quicker than a single page, single photo layout. I love to fill the pages with as much detail as possible to help preserve the story. For this double page design I have printed my photos to full size- 6″x 4″ and backed them with the ALL STAR paper, for a small border.

I have an old wave trimmer board in my craft stash. This was used to cut the wave edges in my background pages. ( I have used the ONE WAY, OFFBEAT and ALL STAR papers on my backgrounds.) It creates a fun effect when layered over each other. This could still easily be achieved if you don’t have a similar tool simply by sketching a wave line first before cutting.

Foam tape was used to adhere my images in place so that they sat up from the background a little, adding dimension to my pages. I used a lot of the different coloured stars from the die cut pack to add in behind my images as well as some of the larger stars also. The Deer head and Bear die cuts were SO cute, I couldn’t resist adding these to each lower corner.

To finish my pages I added some of the die cut titles. There are so many words in each pack and it’s fun putting together a title that works for your pages. I’ve also added some sub title phrases from the sticker sheet. I love how it came together to look like a little journaling.

Cool Dude | Legendary Collection | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends,

It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am excited to be sharing my first layout using the AWESOME Legendary collection!

As the mother of 2 boys and hubby, I am slightly outvoted in my house and love all the boy collections to document their antics with! The Legendary collection is absolutely perfect for their pages, on this page I have documented a photo of my handsome youngest son hanging out at the shops one day!One of my favourite papers from the collection is the rainbow one called ‘Wild One’, I love how it is in a diagonal design! I trimmed it down slightly and added it to the ‘Explorer’ paper, I like the navy as a mat for the page. I then cut out a diagonal triangle cut file design from The Cut Shoppe from white cardstock and placed it over the top of the paper. I love how the white breaks up some of the rainbow paper. I machine stitched around the outside edge of the layout.

The large stars in the ephemera pack have a line drawn on them so they were perfect to machine stitch, see the detail on 2 of the larger stars in the photo below. I matted my photo using the wood grain frame die-cut and one of the small cut out papers from the ‘Total Legend’ paper, I also stapled one of banner die-cuts to the top left corner of my photo. I adhered the largest star in the top left corner and the smaller one in the bottom right corner and then adhered my photo over the top.

The Die-Cut title pack are awesome and I love the font of these! I chose the words ‘Cool Dude’ for my title and popped it up with pop dots underneath and placed to the right of my photo. I took lots of the coloured stars from the die-cut pack and popped them up in rainbow fashion like the paper. I love the height and shadows this creates! I also added one of the awesome flair buttons with the star on it to the right of the ‘Cool’ word in my title. Lastly I added a few of the clear stickers, accessory stickers and enamel dots to finish my layout.

Bedtime rituals | Mixed collections | Anna Komenda

Hello friends. It’s Anna here with my newest page made with CVS goodies. You all have seen the brand new line that will be appearing in the stores any time called “Legendary”. It’s another amazing, boy themed line, that came out from Zoe’s wonderful mind. I am still waiting for it, so I decided to dive into older collections. This time my creative process started with a picture, that I printed long ago but didn’t have mojo on how to scrapbook it. The important thing for this page is mentioning that my printer was dead for few days so I had to use photos that I already had on hand, so I was kind of “forced” to use this one. Don’t get me wrong – the picture is so cute and darling to me but the colors were hard to scrapbook as I always prefer more pastel shades and this one was edited with weird filter. it was a perfect opportunity to challenge myslef. I knew I am going to use some CVS collections, so I went through my stash and picked papers that may work for those colors and “baby bedtime” theme.

“Endless summer” line turned out to be just perfect when it comes to colors, especially the paper with cute clouds. It’s no longer available in the shop but you can purchase the digtal version of it and print your own paper. Stary paper “Star fall” from “Boys rule” collection was just perfect for a bedtime themed page. Thta it how thw whole idea came out.

After I fussy cut some clouds, I placed them around the background and added photo. I knew, I didn’t want to add too much to make a picture a main star of the project. I have a little box filled with elements from older CVS collections, all mixed up so I searched through it looking for matching elements. I didn’t care the line, I just wanted them to fit the theme. I picked many wooden stars from various collections including the very first boy themed line “Flying high”. I also added a cardboard frame and rubber tag that were a part of “Wild at heart” collection. My title was made with leftover alpha stickers.

It’s a very simple page and because the photo carries so many good memories, i wanted to add journaling too. however, I hate seeing my hadwriting on the pages, so I hid it. I cut out two tags in the same size from paper scraps and tided them with a string. The bottom tag has a little journaling on it, but it’s cover by the second one. This way I still get my memories recorded and a clean page :)
