It’s Sophie on the blog today with a brand new page created with the Happy Days collection!
I wanted to use the HAPPY DAYS RAINBOW BRIGHT paper for a long time…! I cut the rainbow to remove the yellow, orange and pink rays. I placed the rainbow on a thick white cardstock and added a little bit of watercolour paint on its bottom, extending the same color for each ray. I also hand stitched and machine stitched on each ray of the rainbow with matching thread.
I framed my black and white photo in a die cut from the Ephemera pack, and used another frame for my journaling.
I used the HAPPY DAYS CHIPBOARD TITLE STICKERS for my title, on which I added a subtile touch of color on each letter.
I decorated around the framed photo with beautiful flowers from the HAPPY DAYS FLORAL EPHEMERA pack, in a color block manner. I placed a few other die cuts, 3 clouds, some stickers from the HAPPY DAYS STICKER SHEET and stamped the date.

I ADORE that color scheme !! This Happy Days collection is so versatile !
I hope you found some inspiration with my page and this lovely collection today!
Hello Crafty friends, it’s Michelle back here today. I’ve got a colourful new layout to share with you all that features our AMAZING new collection – HappyDays. Abso-freakin-lutely LOVING the rainbow assortment of pattern papers within this collection, so much so that I created a magical colour block creation. There’s plenty of embellishments to create this kind of layout, and I hope you all try it too! Lets take a look …
I started with pretty pattern paper squares from the A5 paper stack, each with added machine stitching around the edges. I adhered each piece using some foam for slight dimension and placed them in rainbow order around the outer edges of the cardstock background.
I used a couple of sweet ‘cool kid’ photos of Leila from a few years back, printed in black and white to ensure no colour clashing. Looking back on these photos I realised they’re from when we first moved into our house, before Leila started school. Hard to believe that this is her final year of Primary School and this ‘cool kid’ will be a teenager in 6 months time. Yikes!
Back to the crafty process.. Each colour block has embellishments to match. There’s florals fussy cut from the Lush Blooms paper, butterflies from the Flutterby paper, cut apart pieces from the FeelGood paper, punched shapes from other matching pattern papers from the collection, stickers from the AccessoryStickerSheet and tiny Puffystickers
I fussy cut the words GOOD VIBES from the Definitive paper for the title, as there’s always good vibes when this cute kid is involved.
I added a journal card from the A5 paper version of the FeelGood paper to list a few of the things that made Leila happy at that stage of her life. It stretched the memory to think of them all, thank heavens for the ridiculous amount of photos I took back then to help jog the memory.
I gave the entire layout a good splattering of gold ink to finish it all off and am really happy with the end result.
Here’s a closer look at the dimension of all those bits n bobs around the page, don’t know what I’d do without my beloved sticky dots and foam tape when creating. They definitely help give embellishments a pop off the page
Here’s a final look at the final colourful creation..
Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this magical rainbow creation, just as much as I loved making it. If you make your own version, please share with us in the CVS Facebook Community Group, I’d love to see!
It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout with you featuring the GORGEOUS Happy Days collection!
For this layout, I am documenting a recent photo of myself and my 2 sons. It is not very often that we get a photo together so when we were together recently, I took the opportunity to snap a photo! I did print the photo in colour however as we are all mostly wearing black it goes with the Happy Days collection perfectly!
I started with a plain white cardstock background, as I often do and trimmed it down to 11′ x 11′ inches, adhering it to the ‘B’ side of the Flutterby paper. I then machine stitched a border around the outside of the layout to add some texture. Next I traced a dinner plate onto some cheap cardstock and free hand cut around the circle. I did not bother too much with how the circle was cut out as I knew that I would be covering it with lots of different patterned papers.
I took out the A5 paper stack and chose all of the different papers to include on the circle. I cut them into strips of different sizes and layered them over and under each other to create a shadows and dimensions on the circle. I adhered them all horizontally but changed the angles on many to create the eye catching look to the circle. I used craft foam and regular adhesive to create different heights and looks to the circle. Once I had completed the circle I added craft foam underneath the circle and adhered it to the centre of the white cardstock background. I love creating lots of dimension on my layouts!
I adhered my photo to the right hand side of the circle and also adhered the black and white doodled frame from the Ephemera pack to the outside of my photo. I love how the black in the frame helps to draw your eye to the photo amongst the busyness of the patterned papers. Next I decided to further enhance the photo by adding some of the gorgeous florals from the Floral Ephemera Pack. I added these tucked in and around the photo, using both foam tapes and regular tapes to adhere them. I also added one of the super cute Puffy Hearts to the bottom right corner and placed a tab sticker from the Accessory Sticker Sheet to the right side of the photo also. On the left hand side of the photo, I adhered the Hello banner flag from the Ephemera pack.
Whenever I create a circular design, I like to be able to add embellishments and my title around the outside so I did this again using the Chipboard Alphabet Stickers to add my title. I spaced out the words so that you have to read around the circle which helps to draw the eye around the layout. In between the spaces I added Die-cuts, Puffy Hearts, Puffy Stickers, more Florals, and Accessory Stickers. On the actual circle, in between the paper layers, I placed some of the phrase stickers from the Accessory Sticker Sheet, these help to tell the story about the photo I am documenting on my layout, more Puffy Stickers and some Die-cuts here also.
I absolutely LOVE how my layout turned out and hope you like it too?! I hope you can find some inspiration from my layout and create a similar page to mine using your Happy Days collection!
Hello CVS crafty friends, if its Thursday then its a throwback layout today! I have used Daydream to create my layout and just couldn’t go past the rainbow paper no matter how hard I tried lol!
I fussy cut the rainbow strips and machine stitched each one. I dug deep to find the cloud paper from the Sugar and Spice collection (now that is going back a long way!!!), how perfect does the rainbow go on this paper. I punched some hearts in a coordinating colour for the two large rainbow strips and then added them with foam tape to create a 3D effect.
I tucked a sun die cut behind the rainbow and finished this off with a die cut heart. I next added a journal blog and prettied it up with lots of florals. I will go back later and add some journalling.
I used two frames from the die cuts to highlight my photos. I used the same photo twice but cropped the second photo focusing on our faces. I love using the phrase sentiment tabs from the accessory sticker sheet on my photos to stop them looking too plain but not overly distracting from the actual photo. I added two phrase sentiment stickers under my photo.
Lastly I added my title using the die cut titles, Happy days which I added with foam tape to create more dimension and finished off by adding some die cut butterflies also added with foam tape.
I love how this turned out! I think it is always good to revisit older collections as you tend to see and use them differently second time around. Thank you for stopping by and see you again soon!
It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new layout to share! I used the lovely new collection Happy Days again!
I cut three rectangles from the A5 Paper pack and stitched them down on white cardstock. I added a little scalloped border on their upper edge, and a zigzag stitch between them.
I printed a colorful photo of Sabrina and mounted it on tissue paper and foam adhesive. My title comes from a JustNickStudio alphabet cut file. I placed a smaller velum rectangle on the yellow one to soften it up so that my title stands out a bit more.
I added a beautiful bicycle die cut from the Ephemera pack and created a ground with watercolors from my stash. I fussy cut tiny little flowers that I scattered on the ground around the bicycle and wrote down my journaling on a sticker from the sticker sheet.

It’s a very Springy page and I LOVE the bright color scheme!
Hey Hey! It’s Michelle back here with you today and I’ve got a fun creative share for you all. It’s Throwback Thursday today, the day where we throw it back to an old collection from our stash and make something magical. I chose to deep dive back into the These Days collection and came up with 2 layouts using the same design, inspired by quilt blocks.
I’ve been a little obsessed with watching quilting videos of late, and I knew that I should be able to incorporate a quilt block design into a layout, but I never thought they would come together this easy. With a few creative cuts of the 12×12 and A5 papers, I had the backgrounds together in no time at all and ready to document a few recent family photos.
First up is the white star background using white cardstock for the star pieces, and the DAYBREAK paper pieced around the edges of the star for a mixed media effect. I machine stitched around all pieces for added detail.
I layered scraps of A5 papers behind the photo and adhered 0n to the background using foam pieces for dimension. This helps when tucking florals in underneath to give a deeper layered effect.
I used fussy cut florals from the HOME GROWN paper in both 12×12 and A5 paper sizes for the clusters on both layouts with the addition of butterflies from the TAKE FLIGHT papers and a Gold Glitter heart
I used a mix of ephemera pieces, stickers and Foam title stickers to create the title of this layout, mixing in more fussy cut florals to the sides to balance the layout with colours and pretty elements
I really like how this layout came together, so much so that I ended up creating the 2nd layout, this time switching the pattern papers up to be a complimentary mix for the star design and the white cardstock as the edges.
Most of the patterns used for this came from the A5 paper stack, including the piece under the photo and the mini journal sentiment card to the right.
I used all the same elements on this layout as I did the previous, just mixed it up in a different way
The title for this is made up of ephemera pieces “Sweet Picture Perfect Moments” that Ive adhered to the page using foam tape to give it a little pop of dimension. Yes I use this word alot haha its the only way I know to explain what foam tape does lol
Well friends thats all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by to see my creations. I cant wait to come back in a couple weeks and share my next layout using the amazing NEW Happy Days Collection.
It’s Sophie with you today and I am SO excited to share my very first layout with the AMAZING Happy Days collection!
I had an assignment to focus on florals for this page…My favorite assignment EVER!!
I decided to go with a rainbow themed layout with this beautiful “Sunshine Lollipops” that caught my eye instantly!
I cut along each colored strip at different lengths and rolled up the edges. I placed the rolled piece of paper on thick white cardstock and added a zigzag stitch with matching thread in the center of each colored strip.
I also placed a smaller piece of that rainbow paper on the left side of the layout and linked both piece of paper together with a very soft watercolor paint.
Then, I embellished the page with numerous flowers and leaves from the Floral Ephemera pack. I scattered them around the page in a tone-on-tone manner.
I fussy cut the title “Happy Days” from a packaging and mounted the words on foam adhesive before placing them on the top left corner of my photo.
Finally, I handwrote my journaling on a fussy cut label and added a few puffy stickers as the finishing touch.

This colorful page came together in no time, with only one sheet of patterned paper!
Hope this was inspiring for you! This whole Happy Days collection is a must have!!
Hi everyone, it’s Melissa here and I’m so excited to be back sharing the first layout that I’ve created with the brand new Happy Days collection!! This collection arrived last week, in perfect timing for my layout today! Yay!! I don’t know about you but I always struggle with a new collection because I don’t want to cut into anything. I decided to create my ‘go-to’ design which is to feature a large piece of beautiful patterned paper, or in this instance two!
I just had to feature ‘Definitive’ and ‘Little Blossom’. Both sides of all the papers are stunning, and I’d highly recommend purchasing at least two pieces of all the papers! I tore the edge of Little Blossom and glued it onto Definitive. I machine stitched the edge for texture.
The photo is a cute selfie of two of my daughters that my oldest daughter took and I discovered on my phone. Love it when that happens! For my title I just had to use the name of the collection from the ‘Die Cut Titles’! So perfect!
I cut apart one of the gorgeous images from the ‘Specialty Paper’, and I just love the gold foiling. I tucked it slightly under my photo and then embellished around with ‘Die Cut Floral Ephemera’, ‘Die Cut Ephemera’, and one of the stunning ‘Puffy Hearts’.
You can watch my process video below.
I hope you enjoyed my first layout created with this stunning collection using my go-to design!
Cocoa Vanilla Studio has just released a new collection called Happy Days, and I’m absolutely in love with the beautiful embellishments, colors and designs! This collection is perfect for creating scrapbook layouts that are filled with fun, bright colors and playful patterns.
One of my favorite layouts to create using the Happy Days collection is a page that highlights the good things in life. Start by selecting a colorful patterned paper to fussy cut and create a round and colorful background on a white piece of cardstock with all these cute little peaches and lemons. Then, choose several coordinating patterned papers to layer underneath your photo.
Next, it’s time to add some embellishments to your page. The Happy Days collection includes a variety of stickers, die cuts, and chipboard accents that are perfect for adding pops of color and dimension to your layout. Choose a few of your favorite embellishments and scatter them around your page, being sure to balance out the colors and textures. For the title of this page I used a little banner with the quote “The best of Times”
I placed a view little puffy hearts randomly on the page and cut a gold foil butterfly from the special gold foil paper. I cut more butterflies from the pattern paper and placed them on the page as well. Between the peaches and lemon I put some green sewing thread. I love how that looks. Finally, I splatter some with white gesso and gold acrylic paint.
Overall, I highly recommend trying out this fun and beautiful scrapbook collection designed by Cocoa Vanilla Studio calls “Happy Days” With its bright colors and cheerful patterns, this collection is sure to bring a smile to your face and help you create memories that will last a lifetime!I would love if I was able to inspire you with this fun and happy layout and can’t wait to make more scrapbook projects with this awesome collection.
I hope to see you next time on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog with a new Scrapbook layout. Wish you a lovely and crafty day friends.
XoXo, Jo
It’s Tarrah back with you today, I am very excited to be sharing my first layout featuring the gorgeous new Happy Days collection!
I was tasked with using the gorgeous April mood board as my inspiration for my project this week, the Happy Days collection has so many elements in it that match perfectly with the mood board!
I am documenting 2 photos of my nieces from Easter last year, I love their sweet faces so much!
As the mood board is mostly Easter themed, I chose an Easter title cut file from CUT to YOU and backed it with one of the large 12′ x 12′ papers. I love the yellow plaid patterned paper!
You can see from the mood board image below that I was inspired by many things from the mood board! The Happy Days ephemera pack has the gorgeous tassel banner included in it, I knew I was definitely going to add that to this layout! It is perfect!
I absolutely love this mood board! There are so many things you can inspired from this board!
I placed a large white paper doily down on the heart background patterned paper and then adhered the cut file down using craft foam, leaving some room for my photos above the title. I did trim down the heart patterned paper and adhered it to the pink/purple spotted paper. I then machine stitched a zig zag border down the edges where the papers meet. I love the texture that the machine stitching adds to a layout!
I layered one of the papers from the A5 paper stack underneath my photos to help lift them a little bit. I added craft foam underneath the photos as well and also added craft foam under the tassel banner and adhered this at the bottom of the title. Now that I am happy with the placement of the largest elements on my layout, its time to embellish and tell some of the story!
Do you ever look at embellishments and think about how you can use them for something they aren’t originally intended for?
I do this a lot! When I saw the fabric puffy hearts in the Happy Days collection, I just knew I had to add them to this page to mimic bunny ears! Really hoping that you picked out the bunny ears before I pointed them out to you hehe! Aren’t they the cutest?! I added 4 of these in the end, tucking them in enough so that they peek out of the tops of what they are adhered behind.
By using craft foam underneath some of the larger elements on my page, it creates some shadows and dimension to my page which I love! You can see in the photo above the shadows created under the tassel banner. I didn’t add too many embellishments to this layout as sometimes less is more when it comes to embellishing. I did add a few die-cuts from the ephemera pack like the Yay banner, the small flower to the right of my photos and the round journal spot above the photos. I also added the phrase across the cut file, to help break up all that yellow! I also added the cute Love This tab to the left of my photos as well.
Lastly I helped tell the story of my layout by adding the small phrase and word stickers from the Accessory sticker sheet. One of my signature things I do on almost all of my layouts is to stamp the date stamp, the date is of when the photo was taken. Another thing I like to do is, and you don’t see this but I like to sign the back of my layouts and I write the date that I created it as well. I have doing this for years now! Do you have something you like to include on all of your projects? Please share with us!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog today! I hope you enjoyed reading how I created my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Make sure you get your hands on the gorgeous NEW Happy Days collection from your local scrapbook store or favourite online store!
