Hi crafty friends!
It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a layout inspired by the awesome Grab 5 challenge from interNational Scrapbook Day set by fellow designer Michelle Stokes. I created my layout with the gorgeous new Sunkissed collection and documented a beautiful photo of my eldest niece.
The Grab 5 challenge needed to include:
Patterned papers – I used a patterned paper as the background at the back of my page, the wreath is cut out from patterned paper and there is also patterned paper behind my photo. Stitching – I have stitched the wreath down with machine stitching. Something Gold is the foam gold glitter hearts. Stickers – I have added accessory stickers, puffy stickers and clear stickers and Ink Splatters I have added in gold.
I took the Feeling Fine patterned paper and cut out the gorgeous wreath from the Happiness set of free cut files. I love how the pink side of the Feeling Fine paper pops against the white of the cardstock. I then machine stitched the wreath and took a pack of the stunning floral ephemera and arranged lots of these around the wreath, I bent up some of the leaves and florals for some dimension. I trimmed down the cardstock to measure roughly 11′ x 11′ and matted the cardstock to another piece of the Feeling Fine patterned paper.
Happiness free cut file set in the Cocoa Vanilla store
The Love You title is a cut file from the free Unforgettable set, I cut this one out from white cardstock and then hand painted the just the bottom section with some watercolour paints. I placed my photo and the layers over to the right of the wreath and added the title to the bottom left corner of the photo. I popped the title up using foam dots, I love the dimension the title gives on my page. Some of the embellishments I added to this layout include some stickers, some heart die-cuts and some gold foam hearts.
Unforgettable free cut file set
I added some journalling to one of the cards from the Fun in the Sun paper I then tucked it into the left side of the photo. Lastly I added some sprinkles of gold Heidi shine and stamped the date stamp of the date the photo was taken.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Cocoa Vanilla blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout today and that you were inspired to create some projects with the stunning Sunkissed collection! If you don’t already have the gorgeous Sunkissed collection, make sure to check it out in the Cocoa Vanilla online store.
Happy creating!

Hi Creative friends,
Gwen back on the blog today with a new share featuring the ‘Sunkissed‘ collection. For this layout, I thought it would be fun to pull out some of my metal dies and my Sizzix machine. I’ve cut out a bunch of floral elements to create a fun background for my layout.
To begin the page, I’ve die-cut out a stack of floral elements from the ‘Feeling Fine‘ pattern paper. I love this pattern paper as it has a mixed media look about it, without the mess and warping that comes with making one myself. All that hard work is done :) I’ve also used this paper as the border for my page with my background being a pink piece of cardstock from my stash.
For the die-cut florals, I have three different sizes to work with and have just arranged them onto the background of my page randomly. No real method for this, I was just careful to spread out the colours in the pattern paper evenly.
Next, I’ve backed my 4×4 photo also using this pattern paper. I’ve added stitching around the edge and around the edge of my page for added detail.
For my embellishments, I’ve created the main cluster to the left of my photo which also includes my title ‘Fun in the Sun’. This title piece and this darling rainbow are from the ‘Ephemera Pack‘. You will also find the fun flag that says ‘Hello’ in this pack and loads of other super fun Summer themed icons. I’ve also added bright florals in yellow and blue from the ‘Floral Ephemera pack‘.
For some dimension, I’ve included several of the ‘Wood Epoxy Buttons‘, I just love the soft wood tone in these, they are so fun to add to a page. You can also see here a few elements from the ‘Accessory Sticker Sheet‘ including the sticker above my photo that says ‘Summer Days’ and the typed sentiment sticker below my photo that says ‘Holiday Highlights’.
To finish off the page, I’ve added Enamel Dots from my stash into the center of each of the flowers and then added some small puffy sticker hearts from the ‘Puffy Sticker sheet‘.
I’ve also made a YouTube video where you can see my process. You can watch it here:
Thanks for popping by today,
Until next time,
Gwen

Hey creative paperlovers,
Welcome to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog today. So happy to see you here!
It’s Josefine here to show you a new scrapbook layout that I created as a guest designer for Cocoa Vanilla Studio with the beautiful summer collection “Sunkissed”. Just in love with all the gorgeous designs in this awesome summer collection. I feel the summer vibe already!
My creative mind only wants to create with these beautiful paper pretties. I was inspired by the summer layout from Sophie Delorme and chose to also use the blue-green color background.
I start with a white piece of cardstock and cut out several clouds with my “Cricut Maker”
From a piece of yellow design paper I cut a circle to size. I use my sewing machine to decorate the edges with different stitches. For the clouds I use white sewing thread and stitch only the bottom. I place the yellow circle behind my photo. I put the clouds on my layout and slide my round photo in between.
I grab the different summer die-cuts and make a selection of which ones I want to use on my layout. Some die-cuts I also provide with white sewing thread. I carefully slide the die-cuts between the clouds. I like to use 3D elements on my layout. And I decide to fold origami butterflies.
I cut squares from the design paper in different sizes. For each butterfly, I use two squares of the same size. I fold the tip over and over until I reach the center. Then I fold the other tip over and over until I am in the center. Then I fold them together. I do this with two squares. I put both wings together and attach them with a string.
I use white and gold acrylic ink and make several splashes with my brush. I stitch the edges of my layout with white sewing thread using my sewing machine. I am happy how my layout turned out. So nice and summery!
I hope I was able to give you some great ideas and wish you lots of fun creating beautiful projects with this awesome summer collection! I want to thank you for stopping by on the blog today!
Happy crafting!

Hey Hey! It’s Michelle back here today with a new layout share featuring the sweet Sunkissed Collection. I am absolutely obsessed with the colours of this collection, and as usual I’ve used more of those beautiful florals. The entire layout came together pretty quickly as I was chasing daylight to get it done, so theres no messy mixed media on this creation.
I went back in time to the end of last year with some last day of school photo documenting. Leila was so very happy to be done with last year, but more because of the endless amounts of screen time she thought would be happening HAHA.
I’ve used the Pocket Cards pack in place of pattern paper across the top of the layout. The 3x4inch size is not only perfect for pocket pages but for backing photos and using for title pieces on larger layouts too.
I printed my photos out as 3×4 size then cut the edges down slightly before distressing them with an old nail file to give them a white edge. I added ephemera bits to both photos before ‘stringing’ them across the page with the other cards.
I added white alpha stickers to the card on the right to spell out most of the title and finished it off with a gold glitter foam word, my most favourite embellishment within this collection. I sewed through the letter stickers to ensure they stayed put in years to come. Theres a sticker tag, ephemera bits and some florals tucked into the top to fill in some white space.
Under the title I created my main floral cluster using fussy cut flowers from the Growing Wild paper, layered with different forms of adhesive for dimension and finished with a wood button.
Along the bottom of the layout I added a strip of pretty hearts from the Feelin Fine paper then machine stitched through it. I created another mini cluster using more florals, wood button, ephemera pieces and a label from the Fun in the Sun cut apart paper. Lastly I added my usual sprinkling of gold colour shine, which I might cry about when its all gone..
Well friends thats all from me today. Thanks so very much for stopping by to see my newest creation. I’m really enjoying creating with the Sunkissed collection and loving everything your all sharing with us across social media.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Hello CVS friends! Well I couldn’t resist ‘that’ amazing rainbow paper from the Sunkissed collection any longer and have a tropical themed layout featuring some gorgeous summer cocktails.
I fussy cut out the rainbow from the Bright Side paper, leaving out the red outer strip as I wanted the pinks to feature. I added to white cardstock and machine stitching the outer pink strip of the rainbow to add definition.
I next made three tropical flowers slightly varying in sizes. I used a cut file from the Silhouette design store. I used Fun in the Sun and Feelin Fine papers to make my flowers. Once I made my tropical flowers I added to my rainbow but only wet gluing the centres so I could tuck elements under. From the Floral die cut pack I then added sprigs and leaves under my flowers.
I added my 5×4 inch landscape photo with foam tape, tucking under the sun die cut and adding a Wooden epoxy button over my photo. To connect my photo I added the Love This die cut words.
I created an embellishment cluster focusing on the drinks and fruits from the die cut pack and Puffy Stickers finishing off with some phrase sentiment die cuts. To avoid my layout looking ‘flat’ I added these elements with foam tape.
Due to the colour overload I ensured there was enough negative space between embellishment clusters. I love creating layouts that have ‘no people’ photos and focusing on those little life pleasures which are just as important to document. Thank you for stopping by today!
