SUPER FUN | LEGENDARY | LAURA ALBERTS
Hi y’all! Laura Alberts back with a super fun boy layout using the stunning new Legendary collection! This week I was challenged to include some of the amazing flair in this collection, so I went for an “all around” design which gave me many clustering opportunities for adding flair! In this design, the majority of the embellishing is on the perimeter of the border and the photos are in the center. I really enjoyed creating these clusters in each corner, with a larger feature piece in two of them!

I began with the Braveheart paper for the border and then added a 2nd thinner border of the Explorer paper under my white card stock. Then, I began layering around my 2 photos and cut apart journaling spot from the Epic Tales patterned paper in the center. I tucked in the super cool “Yeah That’s My Boy!” flair in with the circular elements from the ephemera pack on a diagonal behind my photos.

The four corners then are filled with layers of embellishments to frame the layout and add some personality! I absolutely adore the bear and buck figures and really wanted to use them on this layout to represent my son’s love for camping and the outdoors. Even though these photos show him a little more dressed up than outdoorsy, I think the colors worked beautifully! The Let’s Go! flair worked well in the top right corner to finish it off!
This layout has a very special message in the journaling that I try to include on as many layouts for my kids individually as possible. I encourage them to always stay true to themselves and be authentic and honest with who they are and what’s important to them. I think it’s incredibly important for my kids to hear directly from me that they are worthy and loved!
Thank you for checking out my 12×12 scrapbook layout and I hope you find inspiration for your own creations! If you would like to see how I created this layout, you can watch my process video on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/INRgDTSDtfc

I love the star die-cuts in the ephemera pack, I added the grey ones in 3 places to create a visual triangle on my page. I like how this takes your eye around the page. In between 2 of the stars I added some of the clear sticker stars, I like how this adds a bit more impact to the die-cut ones.
Inside the large grey star, I added one of the large circle Authentic die-cuts, I used craft foam underneath it to raise it up, I like how it gives it shadow and dimension. I also added the ‘Epic’ die-cut title below my photo, this became my title for my page. The flairs are awesome in this collection so I added the ‘Let’s Go’ one on this page since the photo is my son getting into the car! I also added the ‘Admit One Adventure Pass’ ticket just above the flair also.
