Sophie is a French-Canadian girl, who hails from beautiful Quebec, where she lives with her husband, son and daughter. She works full-time as an endocrinologist in a busy Montreal hospital. Sophie began scrapbooking over 15 years ago and still loves patterned paper and embellishments (especially flowers!) She enjoys creating large clusters and layering on her pages, and also playing with colours to create mixed media backgrounds.

Hello friends !

It’s Sophie on the blog today with this rainbow layout to share !

I used the Sunkissed collection, and focussed on the beautiful rainbow paper named “Bright Side” as the star of my page.

I selected matching colour embroidery floss for each ray of the rainbow and added hand stitching on them. I fussy cut around the rainbow, added foam dots on its back and placed it on the right side of a 12×12 thick white cardstock.

I chose a beautiful summer photo and arranged a big floral cluster around it, adding a few more little rainbows, leaves, and the date.

My title is from the Sunkissed Clear Stickers sheet.

I love how it turned out ! It’s a simple page but so bright and cheerful, and so easy to create with such a colourful collection !

Adventure Getaway | Great Escape collection | Sophie Delorme

Hello Cocoa Vanilla friends !

It’s Sophie with you today and I am happy to share this new layout created with the Great Escape collection !

I went with circles for my design and selected several different patterned papers from the collection and placed them in scalloped circles (created with a metal die from my stash).

I selected a beautiful photo from our trip to the Rocky Mountains and centered it on my page.

I embellished around the photo with all these coloured circles.

I cut about half an inch for both sides of my 12×12 white cardstock and placed it on the beautiful striped paper “Journey” from the collection. It recalls all the colours from the circles and ties everything together !

Finally, I embellished the layout with Die cuts from the Die Cut Ephemera pack, stars from the Puffy Stickers pack and used a Foam Title Sticker for my title.

Life is Good | Sunkissed collection | Sophie Delorme

Hello Cocoa Vanilla friends!

It’s Sophie with you today and I am thrilled to share my layout inspired by the May challenge!

The challenge this month is called “Flower Frenzy”: Using flowers as the main design element of a layout… The more the better…!

I used the Sunkissed collection for this colorful page and went with big floral clusters all around my black and white photo.

I drew a few flowers on three A5 patterned papers, cut them out and hand stitched on each petal. They served as a background for the flowers and leaves that are from the Sunkissed floral ephemera pack. It adds texture and depth to the clusters, and even though it’s very bold and colorful, it doesn’t compete with the black and white photo, that still stays the star of the page.

I teared a big chunk of the “Feelin’ Fine” paper and placed it on the upper part of the layout. I fussy cut a few clouds out of the “Just Chillin’” paper and used some Clear Stickers for my title.

It’s a very simple page with only beautiful florals as embellishments, and I love it!!

Happy Times ! | Happy Days collection | Sophie Delorme

Hello Cocoa Vanilla friends!

It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new layout to share! This time I used the beautiful Happy Days collection!

I focused on the aqua, blue and purple tones of the collection and selected my three favorite patterned papers from the A5 paper pack. I drew and cut three scalloped borders, uneven, out of those papers, and aligned them horizontal on a 12×12 white cardstock.

I placed my photo on the right side of the layout, and used two beautiful frames from the ephemera pack, the rectangular one for my journaling and the oval one for a beautiful piece of rainbow that matched my color scheme.

I used the Chipboard Titles for my title and added a little touch of blue on each letter with watercolor paint.

I created a floral cluster on the right lower part of my photo and fussy cut a few butterflies that I scattered on the page.

I attached some twine on the first scalloped border as the finishing touch!

The Outdoors is Calling | Great Escape | Sophie Delorme

Hello Cocoa Vanilla friends!

It’s Sophie here today with a new layout using the Great Escape collection!

When I saw this 3×4 card “The outdoors is calling” on the “Wild Life” paper, I knew exactly what photo to use and it was my starting point for the whole page!

I framed the photo and card on the wood grain “Starry Night” paper, framed everything on white cardstock and placed it on the “Star Gazing” paper.

I teared a big chunk of the “Adventurer” paper and placed it beneath the white rectangle, adding a fussy cut scalloped border from the “Wild Life” paper.

I hand stitched around the white rectangle and added a few cross stitches on the wood grain frame as well.

I used a label from the “Wild Life” paper to handwrite my date and placed Chipboard Stickers around my pocket card and photo to embellish the page.

This is a simple and more masculine page, and it makes the photo stand out so well!!

Hello friends!

It’s Sophie with you on the blog sharing this new page created with the Great Escape collection!

I had this photo from a recent hike and thought it was perfect to match a Paige Evans cut file that I love and wanted to use.

I backed the cut file with several different patterned papers from the A5 Paper Stack, and added a few phrases in matching color to each of the signs.

I put the cut file and photo on the Horizon paper. I added a few die cuts from the Die Cut Ephemera pack and phrase stickers from the die cut sticker sheet. I also fussy cut cute clouds from the Starry Night paper and added the date.

WILD THING ! | GREAT ESCAPE | SOPHIE DELORME

Hello friends!

It’s Sophie with you today and I am excited to share my very first layout with the new Great Escape collection!

As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly which photo to document with it!!

I started with a white background and the Starry Night paper to place my photo and embellishments.

I mounted the photo on tissue paper, adhesive foam and a few layers of patterned papers from the A5 Paper Stack.

I placed the photo on the right side of the page, and added white gesso on the left side where I was about to build a little scenery.

I selected a few embellishments from the Die Cut Ephemera pack like the trees, signage and tent to support the theme of the layout, and scattered numerous stars around the photo and title (Foam Title Stickers).

I completed the page with a few stickers from the Accessory Stickers sheet, and handwrote my journaling directly on the white background.

PERFECT AND SWEET | MORE THAN WORDS | SOPHIE DELORME

Hello friends!

It’s Sophie with you today and a new layout to share!

I used an old favorite collection: More than Words!

I framed a 11×11 thick white cardstock by scoring the four edges and placed it on a beautiful black dot patterned paper from the collection.

I centered a sweet photo of my two dogs on the page, adding tissue paper and a few layers of patterned papers behind it.

I went for a big title with the black chipboard words from the collection, and decorated the page with fussy cut flowers, a beautiful fussy cut wreath and numerous butterflies from another patterned paper.

I added a few chipboard stickers as the finishing touch.

No journaling on this one, which is very rare for me!!

It’s crazy how just a few embellishments and a big dimensional title can easily create a delicate and beautiful page!

I hope that I could inspire you with this layout today, to maybe use up your older collections…even if you have just a little bit of them left!

THIS PLACE | DAYDREAM COLLECTION | SOPHIE DELORME

Hello friends!

It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new page to share!

This time I used the beautiful Daydream collection.

I wanted to use the wreath paper named “Daisy Days” for so long now. I fussy cut the outer side of the wreath and put most of it completely to the left of the “Garden Variety” patterned paper.

Then, I added some handstitched details to the leaves and flowers of the wreath, for a delicate extra touch.

I placed my photo in the center of the wreath and used the Daydream Die Cut Words for my title. I also placed a beautiful Puffy Heart next to the photo, and some fussy cut butterflies here and there around the page.

This page came together in no time at all. It is very simple, but sometimes all you need is beautiful patterned papers and a few embellishments to make your layout stand out.

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES | MERRY & BRIGHT COLLECTION | SOPHIE DELORME

Hello friends!

It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new page to share!

I went for another Holiday layout as we seriously approach Christmas Day!!

I used the Merry & Bright collection and a white cardstock as my background.

I backed the photo with a beautiful diagonal stiped paper and placed a Pocket Card right next to it that serves both as my title and journaling.

I created a cluster of die cut Christmas trees all around it, with fussy cut flowers, a few ephemeras and a beautiful Flair Button from the collection.

I also added three Christmas ornaments and a label to stamp the date.
