Hey lovely’s Anita here with you today sharing a fun scrap lift swap with the lovely Danny Visser
Using the new beautiful Sunkissed collection so bright and beautiful
A day at the beach breathing in that sea air just absolutely love it ….
(Check out Danny’s sweet layout below )
If you missed seeing Danny’s scrap lift of one of my layouts check it out here
I started off with white cardstock and trimmed 2 sides to add more colour to the background adding Bright side Then I chose 2 pattern papers from the A5 paper stack and adhered them in the center of the layout Next I Matted my photo on 3×4 cards and added a card next to my photo to add a sub title and then started tucking ephemera around the photo along with some cutout pieces from the A5 paper stack
Next I fussy cut out a bunch of flowers from growing wild pattern paper and added them around the layout I also added the rest of my title underneath the pocket card using glitter foam titles
Then I punched little flowers and scattered them around the fussy cut flowers
I popped some of those little puffy hearts around the little flowers from the puffy stickers
Then I added some accessory stickers and a wood epoxy button in the center of one of the flowers to finish off the layout
I hope you have enjoyed my scrap lift inspiration today
Gwen back on the blog with a new share and today I’m stash busting once more. It’s ‘Throwback Thursday’ and I thought it might be fun to pull out my stash of the ‘Happiness‘ collection. I also thought it might be fun to scrapbook an older photo of my daughter for this one. This photo was taken quite a few years back now celebrating her wins at a local swimming carnival.
For this layout, I was really drawn to use the bright colours in this collection and team them with a black and white photo. I was also keen to use one of the prints as my background for the page and decided on the ‘Little Things‘ pattern paper. It’s pretty bold for a background print, but I really love it. I’ve also added a frame to my background using a floral from the collection, this one called ‘Botanical Bliss’. To finish the frame off, I’ve used a contrasting coloured thread and stitched it around the outer edge. I’ve also used this stitching on my photo.
Next, I’ve used the ‘Meadow’ pattern paper to back a cut file. This one is from CUT to YOU. I have cut the file quite large so that it acts as a background feature for my page. It also has two positions for photos in it which makes the photo placement really easy. As I only have one picture for this layout, I’m going to use the other photo block as a spot for my title. This is going to be a centered design, so I’m careful to make sure everything is positioned nice and straight and perfectly centered on my background.
I’ve chosen the ‘Good Vibes’ pattern paper to back my photo, it contrasts beautifully with the pink tones in the ‘Meadow’ paper. I’ve also raised my photo on foam for some dimension.
For my embellishments, I’ve used elements from the ‘Ephemera Pack’. There are lots to choose from in these packs, they really go a long way. The title ‘Happy Times’ is also from the Ephemera pack, but there is also a ‘Die Cut Titles’ pack in this collection which includes a STACK of fun layout titles. I’ve also included a flair button from the ‘Flair Buttons’ pack to round out my top right-hand side cluster. The ‘Good Vibes’ banner sticker which you can see below is from the ‘Accessory Sticker Sheet’.
When positioning my embellishments, I’ve focused them in the top right square section of the cut file and then worked them down towards the bottom left-hand side of the page where my photo is. The main idea here is to help lead the eye down towards the photo.
To finish the page, I’ve fussy cut out some of the pretty butterflies from the ‘Bright and Beautiful‘ pattern paper. I love using fussy cut elements as embellishments and as they are essentially a piece of pattern paper, they are very inexpensive so would definitely recommend picking up some designs like this one. I tend to fussy cut a bunch in advance so that I have them ready to go when creating. I’ve also been sure to include some of the typed sentiments from the ‘Accessory Sticker Sheet’, these are always a nice finishing touch to a page.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how this layout came together, now is the perfect time to stash bust if you are waiting for the arrival of the new ‘Sunkissed’ collection.
Hey everyone – it’s Raquel here today sharing my first layout featuring the new and beautiful ‘Sunkissed’ collection. I know I say it every time that a new collection is released – but “wow”, Zoe really knocked this one out of the park. The bright patterns, the variety of embellishments and the cute icons and phrases has got me completely in love!
Here is the layout that I created:
The subject of this layout is a photo I took on our summer holidays that we spent together as a family in a coastal town a few hours from our house. Both the kids, hubby and I look forward to this special trip together each and every year. Our favourite time is when we get to visit the beach – a walking distance from where we stay. The kids have an absolute ball – the Mr and I get so much joy from seeing their happy faces.
Along with the photo of course, one of the main features of the layout is the sun in the background. The sun was created using a maths compass to draw the circular semi circle design and fussy cut out. I then free hand cut out the triangles to be placed around it as the suns rays. I love how it turned out! The yellow patterned paper was an exciting find in the small paper pad. I love that the paper pad has differing designs than the 12×12 papers.
To embellish the page I have used a small selection of the floral ephemera to go in either side of the photo. I used a variety of dimensional adhesives to add depth and dimension to those floral clusters. Are you as happy as I am that CVS has released a floral ephemera pack?!? Sooo exciting!
I loved the ‘welcome to paradise’ ephemera piece and I just knew it was the perfect title for this photo of our favourite place – ‘our paradise’. To add some more detail to that piece I added a yellow fishtail banner to below the label from the remaining yellow paper in the paper pad. I also added with foam adhesive the phrase sticker ‘nothing but sunshine and blue skies’ as a sub-title.
as always – this layout features journaling. I love documenting my thoughts in simple form when journaling on my pages. As I am not a lover of my handwriting – I prefer the method of typewritten journaling to get our stories onto paper.
I hope this layout has inspired you today. If you have not yet gotten your hands on this stunning collection I assure you should do You won’t regret it!
It’s Sophie on the blog today sharing a layout created with the gorgeous DayDream Collection.
I took out my heart punches today and created numerous hearts in various patterned papers from the collection. I made a machine stitch with matching thread on the bigger hearts and bent the edges a little bit.
I used a white cardstock as my base for the design backed with a soft blue cardstock. I did a few zig zag stitches around the edges of the white cardstock.
I teared a strip of the beautiful Sweet Serinity paper that I put on the bottom of the page to ground the photo and the myriad of hearts.
I scattered the hearts around my photo in a “Rainbow” order, the darker shades of hearts on the bottom and the lighter ones on the top.
I also used the beautiful DayDream Sequins that I adhered around the hearts. I made sure to use matching colors between the sequins and the hearts.
Finally, I sticked down a few words stickers, added a beautiful Flair, my journaling and stamped the date.
I love the very soft feel of the overall look of this page. Two simple heart punches can go a long way !! And it allows to use many different patterned papers on a layout without making it look too busy.
It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am very excited to be sharing my first scrapbook layout featuring the AMAZING, brand new Sunkissed collection! Wow this collection has everything you could imagine when you think of Summer. It is stunning and is perfect for not only Summer projects but everyday projects too!
I decided to cut the gorgeous Good Vibrations paper using a Sunburst design cut file by CUT to YOU. I love how this turned out! I adhered the entire cut file lightly to a plain white cardstock background, I then pulled up the positive piece so that it left the large pieces of the sunburst design. I can use the skinny positive piece of the cut file on another project another time. I added some craft foam underneath the bursts also to give the layout some dimension. I also curled the edges of the paper using my fingertips to add some extra texture.
The photo I am documenting is one of myself and some scrappy friends dressed up for the Hawaiian themed dress up night at the 2018 Cocoa Vanilla retreat held in Coffs Harbour. It was so much fun and we looked the part with our grass skirts and headbands! It also helped that we picked the cute bridge to pose on! Under my photo I layered one of the 3′ x 4′ cards, an accessory sticker and a frame from the die-cut ephemera pack. I used lots of goodies from the die-cut ephemera pack on this layout! It was one of those cases where I did not know when to stop!
I am so excited to have puffy stickers and the wood epoxy beads back in this collection! I added 3 of the wood beads amongst some of the die-cuts and near to my photo to help draw the eye towards the photo. Below my photo I added one of the glitter foam titles, this was the perfect title for my page. I also added 2 small glitter foam hearts in strategic spots to create a triangle design on my page. This is an important design element when creating a layout and I like to try and accomplish this each time I create a layout. The phrase/word stickers from the Accessory sticker sheet are the perfect last minute addition. I added a few of these to help tell the story and enhance my design. Lastly I stamped the date stamp to document the date the photo was taken.
I hope you enjoyed my first layout created with the amazing Sunkissed collection! Make sure you check out your local store or your favourite online store for this collection! You absolutely NEED this in your life! Its stunning! Also keep an eye out for BEAUTIFUL projects coming up by my fellow design team members!
Hello Cocoa Vanilla fans! It’s Kylie back with you today and I’m so excited because I am sharing my first layout created with the all new ‘Sunkissed’ collection. This range has a fun ‘Summer’ vibe to it with lots of bright coloured elements.
I had some fun holiday snaps to scrapbook from a Tropical holiday we had a few years ago. I laugh at my sons face in this photo as coming from a cold climate his face says it all when you are trying to adjust to heat and humidity! The palm tree and fruit die cuts were going to be the perfect accents for this memory. I decided to work with a white background which had half a centimetre trimmed off each side and was adhered over the SUNNY DAYS paper to act as a border for my layout. Using a simple hexagon craft punch from my craft stash, I punch several shapes from various paper to be able to create a fun background. Each hexagon was adhered in place using foam squares and were positioned cascading across my background.
The theme for my layout today was ‘Sparkle and Shine’ which I was able to add to my page thanks to the gold and very glittery foam title stickers. As soon as I saw these it was love at first sight! I was able to construct a fitting title for my page and add it below my photo.
Floral elements were layered on opposite corners of my photo as well as several other icon die cuts as well. How cute are those palm trees?? I made sure to use more foam adhesive squares on some to raise them up a little to produce a nice dimension for my page.
Once completed I loved the colour in this page. The simple hexagon shapes really pop in the background against the white.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope my layout inspires you a little to scrapbook some of your favourite Summer memories.
Hello Scrappy friends! It’s Michelle back today with a new layout to share as part of our current Sparkle and Shine theme. I recently got my DT Box full of Sunkissedgoodness so I was super excited to use it for this layout, especially the NEW Gold Glitter Foam Titles. Oh my HECK they are stunning and perfect for a theme like this one!
I started the layout by getting a little messy, yep you read that right. Clean freak here got messy for a second layout in a row! I used pink and gold shimmer sprays to create a watercolour effect using the plastic packaging technique, then splattered over the top using the spray tube. Once it was dry (and very warped) I added paper strips across the middle ( Fun in the Sun & Feelin’ Fine ) and machine stitched for a little extra detail. Then I hand cut the wavy edge in the ‘ Sunny Days ‘ paper and tucked that under the layers
I used papers from the A5 Paper stack to layer under the photo ( Just Chillin’ and a pink version of Bright Side ) This whole stack was layered with foam both between layers and under the entire stack to give it dimension off the super warped, never going to be flat background. I tucked a label from the ‘ Fun in the Sun ‘ cut apart paper and a tab from the ephemera pack into the layers also.
To the right of the photo I added a large cluster of fussy cut flowers from the 12×12 version of the STUNNING ‘ Growing Wild ‘ paper. I’ve got a stack more cut out ready for the next few layouts too. I added the title under this using the sweet Gold Glitter Foam Titles – a new edition to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Embellishment range. Absolutely beautiful product to use. Oh and the Wood Buttons are back too, those who have followed CVS from the early days will remember these from earlier collections. I took the adhesive foam dot off the back and used a flat glue dot to adhere to the areas that already had enough dimension.
I used more fussy cut florals under the photo to create the second point to the visual triangle of embellishments I was aiming to achieve.
And then up the top of the layout a much smaller cluster of florals mixed with bunting flags from the ephemera pack. This is when I started adding all the sequins (from the Daydream collection) and a few glitter hearts from the Gold Glitter Foam titles pack. Tiny sequins to add a little hint of extra sparkle and to give the clusters a more completed look.
Lastly I added a touch of handwriting to document this season of life, or I should say that season. A time when Leila would actually cooperate and sit still long enough for me to take photos like this. These days they are very few and far between now that she is 10. I cherish all the photos I was able to get when she was younger, I might need to use bribery for some updates!
Before we say goodbye for today, here’s one final look at the entire layout
I think its safe to say the messy stuff is here to stay.. it certainly adds an extra element of completion to a layout.
Well friends thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my first creation using the wonderful Sunkissed Collection. I can’t wait to create more stunning titles with those amazing Gold Glitter foam words. What are you excited to use from this collection? Let me know in the comments below
It’s Anna here with you again sharing a new layout. This week, the theme of our projects is “sparkle and shine”. I’m not very fond of sequins and glitter, but I do love foil. For today’s page, I’ve used the Unforgettable collection.
I started with white cardstock for my background. Then, I cut a diagonal strip of the Sprightly paper. On both sides of the patterned paper, I put two pieces of washi tape with gold foil.
For my title, I cut a phrase with a metal die from black toner ink cardstock. Then, I ran it through a laminator to cover it with pink foil. I also cut the outline from vellum and placed it on the right side of the page with foam squares to add more dimension.
emboss
To fill the spot below the picture and to the left side of the title, I placed some flowers and leaves from the die cut ephemera and a little phrase from the Accessory stickers.
I fussy cut some butterflies, two bigger ones from the Pretty Bits paper, and the rest are from the Lacewing paper. I added a sparkling touch on the wingtips with gold embossing powder. I also added some enamel dots and a couple of hearts from the clear stickers.
The brightness of this layout is very subtle, and it’s quite difficult to photograph the foil, but I hope you can appreciate it a bit.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I wish you a happy weekend and remember to save some scrappy time!
Hi everyone, its Melissa here and I’m so happy to be back with you again, this time with my first creation with the stunning new ‘Sunkissed’ collection!! We also have a sparkle and shine theme going on right now and I was thrilled to receive this assignment. I decided to scrap a body boarding photo of myself and my two oldest kids at Riverton Rocks Beach (located at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand).
I just had to use the beautiful rainbow paper ‘Bright Side’! I cut the rainbow apart, added glittery paste to each of the arcs, stitched through them in corresponding coloured threads, and then popped them up with craft foam. I adhered them onto white cardstock and I love how subtly sparkly they are!
I used tissue paper from my stash to make an uneven whimsical mat for my photo. This also helps provide separation from the saturated colours of the rainbow to the more subtle ocean tones of my photo.
I used lots of flowers and leaves from the ‘Floral Ephemera’ to create clusters above and below my photo. I bent up the edges of the petals and leaves, and added small pop dots for dimension. I embellished the photo with a phrase sticker from the ‘Accessory Stickers’ and a starfish ‘Puffy Sticker’. I love the contrast between the rainbow and my photo!
I cut apart one of the Pocket Cards and used part of a card to write my journalling.
I just had to create my title from the amazing gold glittery ‘Foam Title Stickers’ – so perfect for this assignment!!
Hello Cocoa Vanilla fans! It’s Anna here with my first ever page made with new “Sunkissed” collection. I got it few days ago and I am so in love with all those colors and funny motiffs. You all know I love rainbows and this line looks like it was made specially for me. However, with all new collections on my desk I feel intimidated to cut into those untouched papers and my mind is floaded with many ideas, so I can’t decide where to begin. And we all know this feeling about using up your precious stash – I won’t use it because I won’t have it anymore :). So I like to start lightly with a simple page made with small amount of papers, or none papers at all like I did here.
“Sunkissed” collection contains of 12*12 papers, 6*8 paper stack and set of pocket cards and this is the product I decided to start with. All the fun patterns and colors shrunk to 3*4 size, ready to be put on the page. I picked 6 of them with solid backgrounds and arranged them on my white cardstock. They are my anchors for 6 square photos.
I live in Poland, Europe, and we don’t have tropical summers here nor palm trees. So whenever I get a chance to spend some time in more warm climate I feel like I travelled to paradise. I get so excited seeing all the tropical plants as they are so different to what I see every day outside my window. And what can be better than spending weekn in paradise? Spending this week with a bunch of fantastic ladies during CVS Creative Escape cropp. I had this wonderful opportunity in 2019 and I cherish all those memories so much. Venue is such a beautiful place with amazing beach. I consider this week as one of the best weeks of my live and I love going back to those memories and scrapbook them.
I decorated each pocket card with photo and bits and pieces from ephemera pack. This collection is special because it has two different packs: with regular elements and with flowers. So many amazing elements to choose from! I also added few stickers as they are always a perfect match with every project. And puffy stickers??? They are to die for! Such a great quality and fantastic motiffs.
My title is a combination of golden foam title stickers and some letters from my stash. In my opinion glitter can be combined with every line and you can never have too much of it. My yellow splatters in the background are also shiny thanks to the pearl mist but it’s hard to showcase this on photos. I am so happy Zoe decided to make those foam titles!
I honestly can’t decide which product from “Sunkissed” collection is my favorite. They are all so fresh, colorful and fun!
I hope this page will help me break this “too pretty to use” blockade and I will have another fun page with this line to share with you next time we meet here. Thank you so much for stopping by and see you soon <3
