Hello everyone! It’s Kylie back with you all today sharing another layout featuring the super pretty ‘Unforgettable’ collection. One thing I really enjoy creating is different layers in a layout and my focus today was not only ‘paper’ layers but also some mixed media layers too.

I decided to work with a white card stock background and chose two of my favourite stencils from my craft stash. One has a scattered heart design, the other a scattered star. (Both have been designed by Paige Evans.) Using some bright pink ink I used the heart stencil first, adding colour with a stamp dauber. The hearts were added vertically to the left side of my page as well as through the middle horizontally.Once dry I added some stars randomly over the top of the hearts with some metallic gold modeling paste.

Whilst my background was drying I started to cut my paper layers. I didn’t use specific measurements I just cut several to different heights and widths. The edges were distressed a little before I began layering them over each other until I was happy with the overall balance and result. TIP: This technique is also a great way of using up any left over pieces of paper you may have!

Once I had added my photo to my page I created a neat little layered cluster of die cuts to the bottom left corner of my image. Some pieces were added with foam adhesive to create some height and dimension. I also added one of the gorgeous paper tassels with a string bow.

To complete my layout I created a title using a letter punch board onto some of the ‘GARLAND’ paper.I backed it with some of the ‘UNSCRIPTED’ paper to make the title really pop. The word phrases from the sticker sheet were perfect for creating a sub title below.

I hope my layout has given you some inspiration for your own creating. Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Kylie.
