Sunkissed Memories | Sunkissed Collection | Melissa Vining

Hi everyone, Its Melissa here and today I’m so excited to be sharing a layout inspired by the September Mood Board which is also open as a challenge to you this month!  We are working with beautiful Mood Board created by Anna and I love how summery it is! I used the Sunkissed collection which was perfect for the vibes of the mood board.   Here is my layout featuring my oldest daughter with a huge piece of sea weed!

Here is the lovely moodboard, and as you can see I was inspired by the image of the sunset and the shells.

I loved the painted shells on the bottom left image and decided to recreate some origami shells using pattered paper.  I selected  three of the Patterned Papers and found a video on YouTube to learn how to make the shells.  I cut the papers into three different sized squares (6, 7 and 8 inches) to create three different sized shells.  They were very easy to create and I secured them with hot glue.

I placed my photo nestled within the shells, and then embellished on my photo with Accessory Stickers, Die Cut Ephemera and a Wood Button.  I also embelished around my layout with a couple of Puffy Stickers.

I used a large piece of Summer Lights to anchor my shells and design, machine stitched onto white cardstock.  When I first saw the moodpboard I knew that this paper was so perfect!!  I used some of the Clear Stickers like mixed media peeking out from under the paper.  I created my title with one of the gold glitter Foam Title Stickers and an Accessory Sticker.  My final touch was to splatter with watered down white acrylic paint.
