Happy 2024 | Storyteller | Josefine van der Hoeven

Hello Paperlovers,

welcome to Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s blog today! I’m so happy to share a new scrapbook layout featuring the fantastic “Storyteller” collection. As we embark on a new year filled with fresh scrapbook inspiration and ideas, I decided to print a lovely photo of my husband and me on New Year’s Eve in a narrow strip for this layout.

For the foundation of my design, I selected three different patterned papers and cut three strips from each, folding and arranging them side by side. The next step was to dive into the world of decorating and embellishing. I absolutely adore creating layers in my clusters, and to add dimension, I opted for 3D foam.

Starting with a cluster in the bottom right corner, I carefully layered various elements. To enhance the depth of the layers, I employed the use of 3D foam. For the blue middle strip, I threaded light pink thread and adorned it with a cardstock sticker. In the top left corner, another delightful cluster came to life, featuring beautiful flower die-cuts. The banner, cut into a shape, complemented the composition perfectly.

The title took center stage, crafted using an alpha metal die-set. I cut out the word “Happy” from white cardstock and gave it a charming wood-look background. Personally, I find it adds a lovely touch to the overall design. To bring a festive vibe, I concluded by adding splatters of white gesso.

I hope this layout sparks your creativity and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to dive into the new collection and explore its possibilities. Have you spotted the latest collection “Great Escape” yet? If not, head over to the Cocoa Vanilla Facebook group and discover the excitement! It’s truly amazing!

Wishing you a wonderful day, and I look forward to see you here on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog soon. Until then, happy crafting!
