YOU ARE MY SUN MY MOON AND ALL OF MY STARS | JOSEFINE VD HOEVEN | LEGENDARY
Hey Paperlovers, Welcome to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog today! It’s Josefine here and show you my new scrapbook layout that I created with the beautiful and super cool Legendary collection. Really love the colors of this boys collection. Of course, I can’t wait to design with the beautiful No limits collection. I can definitely use the “No limits” collection in combination with the left overs from “Legendary” Yay!!
I start with a white piece or cardstock and cut a circle from the center. I grabbed two colors of distress oxide. The colors I used are, “faded jeans” and “spiced marmalade” On another piece of cardstock, I create a mixed media background using the Distress Oxide “spiced marmalade”. I cut several circles from the design paper and place them all on top of the mixed media background I created with the Distress Oxide. Once all the circles are in place I stitch a dark blue border with sewing thread.
I cut another circle from the dark blue patterned paper and placed it with 3D tape in the center of the yellow/orange mixed media background. Now it’s time to decorate my layout with die-cuts, stickers, stars and of course a title.
I choose a Saturn shape from the Cricut store and cut it out with my Cricut Maker. I cut the cutfile from the Legendary pattern paper and place it almost in the center of the layout. I place the two die-cuts in the shape of a star with vellum behind the cutfile. On top of that, I build a cluster of stars and the word “super” I chose two colors from the patterned paper, cut to size and placed these behind the black and white photo of my son. I put the photo with design paper on the right side of me layout and made another small cluster of word die-cuts on the left side of the photo.
I fussy cut several stars from the pattern paper and place them randomly on my layout. Then I choose different Alpha sets that match well with each other for the title. I make blue splatters around the title with the blue distress oxide “faded Jeans”. These ink splatters give a fun and playful effect.
