Hello Beautiful | Happiness | Anita Bownds

Hey there,
Anita here with you today..sharing a layout full of fun colours from the Happiness collection
Who doesn’t love a bit of fussy cutting!! Especially those beautiful butterflies… my idea behind the layout was to have a jar filled with flowers and a rainbow of butterflies flying from it.
I started by backing my white cardstock with botanical bliss
and then cutting a jar cut cut from the silhouette store using botanical bliss and so fresh to create the jar
Then I added my title on top of the jar using the happiness cardstock titles

Using the happiness ephemera I added the beautiful flowers on top of the jar
Then next using some papers from the 6×8 paper Pad I backed my photo a tucked just underneath the side of the jar add a doily and more ephemera and accessory stickers to the photo

Then using the bright and beautiful pattern paper I fussy cut all the butterflies
And started adding them in a rainbow pattern as if they were coming from the flowers in the jar

Then to finish off the layout I used more of the accessory stickers to add a few hearts
Check out my process video of how the layout came together

So I hope I’ve inspired you to fussy cut some beautiful butterflies

So Sweet | Happiness | Anita Bownds

Hi there,
Anita here with you today.. sharing a fun layout using pattern papers from 3 collections – happiness, midnight and boys rule … my layout is all about my daughter eve when she was little she went through a fairy princess faze
And she only wanted to wear pink fairy dresses ..
I started off by creating the bunny using a cut file from the silhouette design store
Using pattern papers – moonlightshine brightinky depths from midnight and expressive from happiness
Then for my background I decided on good times from boys rule as my base and inspired from midnight for the border adding machine stitching. Then I added the bunny popped up on double sided foam tape to the left

Then I decided to use up some of my leftover paper scraps from other layouts for layering them behind my photo
Using – 6×8 happiness paper Padshine bright from midnight
And I added a mini doily that I cut in half to add to the top and bottom of my photo layers then I tucked just underneath the foot and had of the bunny

Next I added happiness ephemera around the photo and tucking them in the layers and on the bunny
I wanted to add some more flowers to the top of the layout to balance it out

Then using the happiness accessory stickers I added a few stickers to my photo and a few butterflies
And using the happiness cardstock titles I added my title so sweet

And to finish off my layout with a few happiness clear stickers.

Happy Times | Happiness | Anita Bownds

Happy crafty Tuesday,
Anita here with you today..sharing a fun layout using the beautiful Happiness collection.
The idea behind this layout is one we all experience at one time or another a taste or a smell from childhood and for me that was at the beach on the swings with a raspberry ice cream.
So I started off by creating the Popsicle’s using a cut file from doodlebug available in the silhouette store and pattern papers – bright and beautiful, botanical bliss, meadow, good vibes

Then using a butterfly cut file from the silhouette studio I cut out in sprinkles and to back it with expressive pattern paper

Then next using a background hearts cut file I cut out on white cardstock backing it with frame of mind pattern paper and and a few little bits of so fresh from the 6×8 paper pad before adding a stitched border around the edge. I added the butterfly off center and the biggest Popsicle I created in the center of the butterfly

Using good vibes from the 6×8 paper pad I then mattered my photo and tucked it under the edge of the butterfly wing to the right. Next using the die cut pack I added some flowers to the Popsicle in the middle of the butterfly and around the photo and a few other pieces and my title.
Using the clear stickers I cut some in half to add around the layout and just underneath the butterfly.

I wanted to add a few more little flowers from the die cut pack to the background so I added them randomly around the layout . Then using the accessory stickers I added a few around my photo.

To finish off my layout I add 2 more little butterflies that I painted and added mini popsicle’s in the middle with a bit of glitter glue to give it shine

So I hope I’ve given you some fun inspiration full of colour
and a cute little way to make little embellishments for your layout cause it’s super fun.

Stay Sweet | Happiness | Anita Bownds

Happy Saturday…
Anita here with you today.. I’m sharing a layout using the brand new Happiness collection and a big heart hot air balloon cut file from the silhouette design store. I can’t believe how beautiful all the colours are in this collection it’s absolutely fabulous and I couldn’t wait to start playing with it .

I started off by giving my white cardstock a colourful border by backing my cardstock on botanical bliss patterned paper then machine stitching a border around the edge of my white cardstock. I think it helps add more colour to the layout.  Next using my silhouette I cut out the hot air balloon using my cameo and white cardstock then using the expressive patterned paper I cut out the heart that goes with the cut file to add over the top of the heart balloon
And decided to ad some hand stitching around the edges of the balloon
And as it’s a balloon in the air I couldn’t resist adding a few clouds cut from good vibes patterned paper
Using my silhouette cameo and yep of cause I had to add some hand stitching to them! Then it was time to start adding some beautiful flowers from the ephemera pack around the balloon

I then matted my photo on a few bits of patterned paper from the 6×8 paper Pad.
Using the accessory stickers I added butterflies to a bit of cardstock before adding them to my layout
So I could bend them to give them a little bit of dimension on my layout and to add a few stickers around my photo.
And to finish off the layout I added my title from the cardstock titles pack and flicked some black mist in 2 corners.

Here is my process video if you would like to watch how I created my layout.
I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration today happy crafting everyone.

Awesome | Boys Rule | Anita Bownds

Hi there,
Anita here with you today, Sharing a monochromatic layout using the black and Grey tones from the boys rule collection.
The photo I chose for my layout is of our cheeky bird nubby he’s a long billed corella we have had him since he was a baby as we found him with a broken wing.. he can’t fly but that doesn’t stop him from being his funny self..he loves digging holes and throwing things in the air ..yep he’s a little odd.
Ok so back to my layout..
I decided when I started my layout to have some sort of border around the edges of my white cardstock
I ended up choosing straight and narrow to back my white cardstock on and added a machine stitched border
(one of my favourite things to add to my layouts )
Then using messed up and boy stuff I used my big shot die cutter and cut out a few circles to add to my background before adding my photo
Then using fun and games I cut apart all the little patterns to add layers behind my photo
As well as adding a few die cuts from ephemera and miscellany pack in and around my layers
For added texture around my photo and my title I used the chipboard pack
And to finish off the layout I added some clear stickers .
Check out my process video
I hope I’ve given you some fun inspiration on how to create a monochromatic layout
So why not give it a go I know we would love to see your creations in our cocoa vanilla studio Facebook group

Bloom and Grow | Midnight | Anita Bownds

Hi there Anita here with you today,
So I decided to mix it up a little with midnight and boys rule collection
I love creating with a white cardstock background it’s something about having a clean slate to work on and I do find it really hard sometimes to use busy patterned papers for a background but this one I kept on coming back to..

So I started my layout by cutting out this fabulous floral cut file from the silhouette design store in white cardstock then started backing with mixed blessing and shine bright from the midnight collection

I used different blue tones for the leaves to break up the colours

I really like adding double sided foam tape behind my backed cut file as it gives that dimension

Then I added it to the patterned paper star fall from the boys rule collection
Then I backed my photo on 2 bits of patterned paper from inky depths and mixed blessing
And tucked it just underneath the backed cut file.
Using the midnight ephemera die cuts I tucked 2 tags in underneath the photo and a tab
I added some stickers from the accessory sticker sheet a mini heart from the chipboard pack

And a few of the clear stickers around and on my photo

I added some cardstock to the back of the butterfly stickers from the accessory stickers to bend then to give them dimension and and I used the bloom and grow sticker for my title
Here is my process video

Moments | Midnight | Anita Bownds

Hi there,
sharing my first layout  using the fabulous midnight collection .
So I decided I wanted to use a the cat cut file from the silhouette design store somehow on my layout..
I started off with the moonlight patterned paper and cut the first cat out using my cameo
Then using the offset option I created a solid image and cut it out of shine bright patterned paper
Then I added some mixed media to my white cardstock using a Kaisercraft stencil, 3d matte gel and impasto paint

Then I backed my white cardstock on the inspired patterned paper and machine stitched around the border

Next I added the 2 cut out cats together and placed them on my layout .
(Tip – cut out cut files using patterned paper to add more colour to your layout)
Then I layered my photo on a few different papers – moonlight and inky depths in different sizes and tucking it just underneath the back of the cat cut file and then I started embellishing around the cat and photo
I used a chipboard title from the chipboard pack
(Tip – add chipboard accents to a paper clip to add some cuteness to your photo )
Then I started adding the die cut ephemera and a cut file doily to my photo and tucking the flowers and leaves around the cat cut file .
And to finish off the layout I added one of the die cuts and punched a hole and added twine to make a tag
And tucking it underneath my photo along with one of the flair buttons
( Tip – create your own tag using a die cut )
Here is my process video of how i created my layout .
happy crafting xx
