Hey everyone!

I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you took LOTS of photos over the festive season, and you’re now looking forward to getting those photos documented and into your scrapbooks! Today I’m sharing a layout featuring a photo that I took of my kids together on Christmas Eve, just before they headed off to bed. The Joyful collection was the perfect choice to document this photo, not only because it’s a Christmas collection, but also because the colours in the collection co-ordinated beautifully with the colours in my photo.

To start my layout off I cut the ‘Merry & Bright’ title on my Cameo using a free cut file from the Paper Issues store. I then backed the cut file using patterned papers from the A5 Paper Stack. The A5 papers are perfect for backing a cut file because the patterns are on a smaller scale. It also saves you from having to cut into your 12×12 papers for just a small amount of patterned paper.

I decided on using the beautiful Holly Days wreath paper for my background. I’ve already used this paper once before on another layout, but I love it so much that I wanted to use it again! I adhered the cut file along the bottom of the wreath, using foam tape for added dimension. Once I had the cut file in place, I added a sweet little bird die cut and the ‘Oh What Fun’ banner in the open space between the two words of the title. Next I matted my photo with the red Tis the Season paper, and I tucked it under the top edge of the cut file.

The little woodland animals in this collection are just so lovely, and I couldn’t resist adding the cute little fox die cut to my layout. I tucked him in to the left of the photo and I love the way he appears to be watching what is happening in the photo!

To the right of the photo I added two little presents, one from the Chipboard Stickers and the other from the Die Cut Ephemera pack. On the bottom right hand corner of the photo I also added the year using the Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers from the These Days collection. I also tucked a little tab sticker under the top right hand edge of the photo.

I fussy cut a few additional flowers from the Tis the Season paper and I tucked them in around the title and photo. To finish the layout off I sprinkled around some colourful stars from the Die Cut Ephemera pack as well as some gold ones from the Puffy Gold Title Sticker pack.

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today! I hope that you found some inspiration for getting your Christmas photos documented!
