Happy 2022 CVS friends! Christmas maybe done and dusted but I think the rule is we can still scrap Christmas until at least February!!!!!! My son sent me this gorgeous photo of him with his girlfriend and their new fur baby, so yes it just had to be scrapped!
I used this gorgeous Christmas tree cut file (available from the Silhouette Design store). I backed it using Making Spirits Bright paper. I added some of the pink hues using some scraps from the 6×8 inch paper pad. I next added my photo so I could embellish around it.
I set about adding embellishments to the circles in the tree, here I used the chipboard, wooden flairs, glitter stars, puffy stickers and die cut ephemera, all from the Joyful collection.
I created two embellishment clusters on either side of my photo making sure they were slightly uneven to each other to add visual interest. I chose two of the gorgeous Christmas animals, adding with foam tape which would then allow me to add other embellishments under and of my photo.
I added embellishments on other embellishments, like adding a wooden flair on the deer to create more dimension, also adding more cute factor!
I used a die cut phrase banner to create my title, adding it with foam tape to it stood out. As my tree is ‘busy’ I didn’t want to add a large title.
I added some of the chipboard and die cut presents under my tree because every tree has to have presets under it right!
This layout has lots of texture and dimension but still fits perfectly in an album sleeve!
I am not ready to put away Joyful so I can’t promise I won’t use it again in 2022! Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!
