Welcome everyone. It’s Anna here and today I have another summery page to share with you. This time it was inspired by our monthly moodboard challenge and I must tell you, June one is delicious! You all know I love all things summer so I was so happy to be assigned to this one. I love amazing mint and orange color combination but I wanted to use “Sunkissed” line and mint is not present there. That’s why, instead of colors, I focused on motiffs. I had fun photo of my daughter Maja printed, with her eating ice creams with whole of her face, and I thought it would be just perfect. I chose to be inspired by ice cream photo and overall summer mood. Here is how the moodboard looks:

Super fun and inspiring, right? I had an idea of making big ice creams with scoops in different colors and patterns. I followed it, creating two giant cones as a background for my photo. This is how the finished page look:

It may look busy but it was very simple and easy to make. I started with picking quite a neutral and bright background out of all pattern papers from “Sunkissed” collection. Cute clouds on the blue sky seemed just perfect! Next, I focused on making my ice creams. I hand cut two long triangles out of kraft paper. I chose four pattern papers from the collection using mostly scraps from A5 paper stack (you know it has slightly different patterns than 12*12 papers, right?) and loosely sketch ice scoops on them. If you don’t feel confident enough in your drawing skills, you can use a cut file instead. You can look for inspiration for shapes online. I was just too lazy 🙂

I glued down ice creams together and then to my background, adding a layer of cardboard for some dimension. One of the ice creams got cute, little sprinkles. I used tiny hearts from ephemera pack for this purpose. I added my photo on top of the ice cones, tucking few ephemera pieces under it. I also found three last wooden buttons and used one on top of the photo.

Space around the ice creams felt empty so I went through my die cuts pack and picked all the fruits I got left (I have few packs lefovers mixed together so I had doubles). I scattered them on the background using some foam squares to glue them down. I also went through clear stickers to find the ones than can match my design and I added few rainbows and leaves here and there. I also glued down tiny hearts from puffy stickers pack.

Last step was to add title. I love the glitter gold foam word phrases that come with this collection, but I had a specific title in mind so I reached for alpha stickers from my stash. Those colorful letters were a perfect finishing touch! I promise you, making this page took me about half an hour, which is like super fast for me. It’s colorful, fun and unique – perfect layout combo for me.

That is all for today. You stil have last few days to join the challenge and win a gift certificate to CVS shop. With this moodboard it will be an easy – peasy job!

Thank you so much for joining me today. See you again in July!

XO Anna
