Home sweet home decor | Daydream collection | Anna Komenda
Hello Cocoa Vanilla fans. It’s Anna here with another inspiration created for our “Home is where the heart is” theme. Other girls showed you amazing layouts but I decided to make a little home decoration. I am in the process of renovating my house interiors and one of the tasks is to upgrade my younger daughter’s room. She started school recently and we need more “grown up” look and furnitures. We are changing the color scheme, painting the walls, changing furniture so I decided to add little something from myself too. I used brand new “Daydream” collection for my little project.
I used small embroidery hoop and turned it into the shaker, filled with sequins and glitter. I used the ones from Sequins and flowers pack to make sure they will match the papers perfectly. I closed them between two layers of plastic foil so you can see through the whole frame. I took 6*8 paper stack and cut wonky rainbow using the papers from the package. The patterns are smaller here, so they are perfect for smaller elements.
I picked matching strings and added some stitches on each of the rainbow stripes. It took me a while but it was all worth it. Next step was to glue my rainbow down to the shiny background using few layers of foam to add dimension. I decorated the rainbow with flowers and houses from Ephemera pack.
Little flair button and fabric heart are a perfect finish touch for this project. When you shake the frame the sequins move around. You can either hang it on the wall adding a piece of ribbon or put in on a little stand. Sequins make it all more whimsical and fun.
That is all for today. I hope my little project inspired you a little bit to make your own home decorations. Thank you so much for stopping by and see you in two weeks with another project made with amazing “Daydream” collection.
XO Anna
