Christmas Crafts | Merry & Bright Collection | Michelle Stokes

Hey Everyone, It’s Michelle back to share some crafty goodness with you all after a well needed Christmas crafting break. Today I wanted to share a few of the handmade cards and gifts that I made for family using the Merry & Bright Collection. They’re nothing fancy, but definitely something that was well received on the days they were given.

First up is a couple of Christmas Cards that I made using ephemera pieces from the Merry & Bright Collection along with some of the fun pattern papers.

These first few cards came together super quick. I adhered the pattern paper to the tops of the cards then stitched around the edges. I added ephemera pieces to the middle of each with the addition of word stickers from the accessory stickers sheet to finish them off.

The last 2 required a little extra fussy cutting and stitching plus a lot of glitter that ended up falling off within the envelopes. I layered the banner flags (cut apart sheet and ephemera) with different adhesives before machine stitching across the tops.

Next was the creation of 2 gifts for family, 1 a printed gift voucher and the other a fun way to gift school photos to the grandparents.

This would have to be the best way to gift a printed voucher. Print it smaller than A4 size and adhere to a piece of pattern paper. Fold it in 3 and wrap with a complimentary pattern paper, then embellish with ephemera florals, wrap in twine and tie on some tags.

In the larger of the 2 envelopes I created a large card using more pattern papers, floral ephemera, twine and tags to create a large cluster..

on the inside are the 2 school photos from the last 2 years held in place with more pattern paper

The outside of the envelope was decorated in the same way that I created the gift voucher by using layered pattern paper, florals, twine and tags.

I really enjoyed creating these items for family, just as much as they enjoyed receiving them. I hope this has given you some inspiration on how to make something ‘ordinary’ look a lot more ‘pretty’

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
