Hey y’all! Laura Alberts back again with a fun family layout using the new Heart & Home collection. I love this sweet photo collage style and squeezed five 2×3 inch photos on this page. Heart & Home perfectly matched these photos, and they perfectly capture my family and their love of food!
I created three columns in the center puzzling together photos, cut-aparts, and icons from the ephemera pack, fussy cut from patterned papers, and the puffy stickers. Along both of the sides, I spread out vellum florals, fussy cut florals, and dotted Nuvo drops.
I added word phrases from the cut-apart sheet and the 6×12 sticker sheet to add interest on top of and around my photos. Love adding these little messages to my pages! The gold foil titles add a stunning elegance to this layout and ties it all together.
The journaling for this layout focuses on the big milestone of this event, the first in my new home! Love family-focused collections and I had a blast playing with this one!
I hope you enjoyed this fun layout and it inspires you to try collaging your photos together!
Mandy here with my final post for 2023, and today I’ll be sharing a few of my favourite layouts that I created this year! I always find it hard to narrow down, but for this year I think these are the layouts that I most enjoyed creating! Looking back at these, I think what I love most about them (apart from the photos and memory keeping of course!) is that they include fun and different ways to feature patterned papers on my layouts. So, without further ado, here are my top 5 for 2023…
I created this one for the July monthly challenge, and what I love about it is the colour combination, as well as the grid design. Plus I created this just a week before I jetted off to Europe with my daughter, and so it brings back all those feelings of excitement as we counted down the days till our trip! This layout features the Happy Days collection.
Another layout featuring the Happy Days collection, but this time I chose a completely different colour combination . I love the way this layout just makes me feel happy! I had a lot fun creating the grid background and embellishing each square with cute embellishments!
I’m always a fan of pretty florals, and the Heart & Home collection certainly did not disappoint. This layout was amongst my favourites this year for the fussy cut floral clusters that it features, as well as the warm colour palette and the fun diagonal design!
I love love love the bright colours and that gorgeous rainbow on this layout featuring the Happy Days collection! This just goes to show what a versatile collection this is, with this being my third Happy Days layout to make it into my top 5! I had so much fun with the tone-on-tone embellishing and the end result is a bright and fun layout that makes me happy!
And the final layout that I’m sharing today might just be my favourite of them all! It was the first layout that I created with the Heart & Home collection and I absolutely love the colour palette, as well as the design! Plus it features a photo of my four favourite people!
Well, that’s a wrap from me for 2023, and sadly this is also a farewell from me. I’ve made the difficult decision to step down from the design team next year as life just continues to get busier and as a result I need to scale things back a little. I have absolutely loved being a part of this team (for the second time!) and I’m so very grateful to Zoe and Sue for inviting me to join. It has been a pleasure to share my layouts with you all, and I hope that I’ve inspired you along the way!
With that, I wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas and New Year!
Hello Hello, Michelle here with you today to share a super quick layout featuring the Heart& Home Collection. This Christmas creation came together using elements from the Collection that are just the right shades and patterns to pass as a Christmas Collection.
I’ve documented a photo of our House Elf Twinkle as I am running low on festive photos. I generally live in the moment at Christmas time and forget to pick up the camera.
I kept the background super simple and just layered some pattern paper strips together to create a base for the photo, with the addition of some string wrapped around them to hang a cluster of embellishments from. As there were no pattern/ colour clashes with the photo and collection used I was able to print it in colour at roughly 3.5×4.5 size. I adhered it straight to the paper stack using foam for slight dimension.
I added cut apart pieces to the photo and the large cluster to the left of photo, then created bunches of floral pieces in 3 separate clusters around the top half of the photo/ paper layer stack.
The florals and leaf stems are perfect colours for Christmas Scrapping, without using the traditional style of christmas products. These colours together represent a soft Christmas themed palette compared to the brighter more traditional colours.
Once I added the tag to the twine I tied it up in a bow and added tiny glue spots to keep the strings in formation
I created the title using some of my beloved white alpha stickers from years ago, altering them with some glitter glue for a touch of sparkle, plus some mini alpha stickers and handwriting for a more personal touch
Lastly I splattered the entire layout with gold ink and called it done. Heres a final look at the entire layout…
Well friends thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you all have a magical festive season with your loved ones, and that you can squeeze in a little crafty time here and there.
Hello crafty Friends. December is almost here with it’s festivities and I am for sure going to join this merry madness. But before I will dive into christmas, I have one final fall project to share with you. It was created with beautiful “Heart & Home” collection – the newest addition to CVS family. It already landed in CVS shop and what’s even better – it’s on sale! So run quickly to grab it, along with many discounted goodies from older collections.
I created another layout, this time with brand new photos of my girls. I always take them to the nearby forest, when the autumn takes it’s most glorious colors to snap some photos. Thanks to that, I have a bunch of pretty pictures to scrapbook with all the pretty seasonal collections.
I love all wooden patterns and I like using them as a backgrounds. It’s already a second page I made with “Heart & Home” with “Framed” paper. It has such a lovely, warm color. I cut my photo into a circle and placed it in the middle of my page.
Using “Floral ephemera pack” I made a frame around my photo using both flowers and leaves. I also added some butterflies (or probably moths) to this composition. They are cut out from one of the 12*12 papers called “Fall beauty”. I just love papers with elements you can fussy cut and extend your ephemeras, as they usually run out quickly. So keep an eye on papers with elements, that are big enough to be cut out and are not clustered together overlaping eachother. Buy extra sheet of this paper and you will thank me later!
My title is made with super pretty and shiny “Die cut titles with gold foil”. They always look amazing but are so hard to photograph. They either look black or white in the photos because of the light reflecting off them. I used two words “happy” and “hearts” to make my title and spread them on both sides of the photo. I also added bits and pieces from “Ephemera pack”, like house and some sentiments.
My final touch, as always, was to add some tiny accents like puffy hearts from “Puffy heart stickers”. And that’s it! Layout was finished.
This page is a closure for my fall projects. Now it’s time to dive fully into christmas! I will be back in two weeks with something festive! Thank you so much for staying with me and wee you soon!
Welcome to today’s Cocoa Vanilla Blog! Once again, I’ve drawn inspiration from the beautiful Heart and Home collection by Cocoa Vanilla. This collection has delightful and fresh colors that inspired me. Today, I wanted to shine a spotlight on the gorgeous and elegant gold word die-cuts. By arranging the words in a stacked manner with a bit of overlap, I created a playful and eye-catching title.
To begin, I cut three circles from white cardstock and chose a vibrant yellow patterned paper to fill them in. The middle circle may be a bit elusive because I ultimately decided to place the lovely photo of my daughter and me in the center. On the left side, I crafted a cluster of flowers and butterflies. I choose die-cut flowers and some hand-cut blooms from the beautiful patterned paper, I added a touch of whimsy with strategically placed cut-out butterflies.
For the title, I incorporated the playful arrangement of gold word die-cuts, complementing it with a word strip and adorable puffy alphas. Additionally, I placed some puffy hearts throughout the layout. I love incorporating various elements and materials into my layouts to add depth and interest. To finish it off, I added distress splatters in the lovely Speckled Egg color. I find this shade to be a perfect match for the light blue-gray tones present in this collection.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today. I hope this layout has sparked some inspiration for you. Looking forward to seeing you next time with fresh ideas! Have fun, and until next time.
Hello Hello, Its Michelle back here today with a new layout share featuring our Beautiful Heart & Home Collection. For todays layout I thought I’d create something with our furry family members Daisy & Sonny, so a mixed pattern/colour combination it was.
I began by cutting into the magical A5 Paper stack that just keeps on giving to create squares in 2.5, 3 & 3.5 inch sizes to create a mixed “grid” effect on the background. I distressed the edges and adhered to the cardstock using foam for a little dimension and texture. As someone who doesn’t use much mixed media, I use other techniques to give layouts character as I just can’t handle the flatness without it.
I printed the photos of our sweet furry family members in colour and adhered them to some of the woodgrain pattern paper from the A5 paper stack. I added a little more texture by tearing along the bottom edge. These sweet little pups are so very loved in this house, but that sticker bottom right sums them up well. They’re both completely nuts lol
Before I added any of the embellishments I created the title using a word from the Gold Foil Title pack, handwriting and a mini cut apart piece from the A5 version of the Gather paper.
And then created a fussy cut florals cluster using the A5 version of the BOUNTIFUL paper. I layered the different pieces with my usual adhesives – double sided foam tape and tacky glue. I created mini clusters all over the page using similar elements in each as seen in the next couple of close ups…
Once I felt all the clusters were complete I added in tiny florals, mini puffy hearts, gold ink platters and dots
Here’s a final look at the whole layout
Well Scrappy friends, thats all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hello everyone! We all love pretty layouts and albums as they are a perfect way to preserve important moments and memories. But once in a while we also need a nice card to send or add to the gift and let’s be honest – there is nothing better than a handmade card! It can be curated specifically for the recipient to show them how much we care. That’s why, with every CVS collection, I like to make a bunch of cards too and have them ready whenever I need one. This is exactly what I did with new “Heart & Home” line.
I made three cards, each for s different occassion. My trick for a quick process was to use papers from A5 Paper Stack as a card bases. I simply folded each page in half and card base was ready! It has pattern on the front and back but inside is white, as papers in Papers Stack are single sided! Perfect solution! You can add extra pannel like me, or you can embellish your card directly on the base saving even more time.
Fot the first card I used Floral Ephemera Pack flowers and leaves. I used my scissors to trim the white outlines around flowers but you don’t have to do that! Simply arrange flowers and leaves on the card, add glue under each of the elements and your card is almost ready. My sentiment is made with Gold Foil Titles word “love” and Mini Puffy Alphabet word “you”. Few tiny Puffy Stickers hearts here and there and card was done!
Second card has a Polish inscription “Sto lat” which translates to “Happy birthday”. I made it inside the little wreath of flying moths. I cut them all out from “Fall beauty” 12*12 paper. I also added some machine stitching but it’s totally optional. Once again I finished my design with Puffy Stickers hearts and dots.
My last card is the quickest one as I utilised leaves leftoves I had from one of the previous projects. I die cut bunch of them from variety of papers from “Heart & Home” collection. Part was used for the layout, and the rest I added to my Ephemera Pack. I arranged few leaves in the center of the card, adding some foam squares under them for more dimension and finished everything with sentiment from said Ephemera Pack. It took me 10 minutes to complete. You can of course die cut your own leaves. It will take you a little bit longer to finish the card, but it’s only dozen you need.
And that is all for today! Do you like my quick and easy card ideas? You can use them for any other CVS collection too!
Thank you so much for spending your time with me and see you in two weeks!
I’m delighted to share with you a layout that holds a special place in my heart, crafted with the beautiful Heart and Home collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Inspired by the gorgeous mood board of November, I embarked on a creative journey, infusing elements of black and white, delicate stitching, heart patterns, and blooming florals into my design.
To start this project, I drew inspiration from the elegant simplicity of black and white showcased in the November mood board. The chosen photos telling a unique family story. These snapshots, filled with precious moments that I want to show case on this layout.
Using my electric cutting machine, I carefully crafted a large heart from a patterned paper within the Heart and Home collection. This heart, symbolizing love and gratitude, found its place at the center of a white cardstock canvas. To add a touch of whimsy and craftiness, I adorned the edges of the heart with delicate light blue stitching using sewing thread, creating a charming and tactile border.
The heart, now a focal point. From a different patterned paper, I cut out a lot of flowers, using them to artfully fill one side of the heart. This floral infusion not only added a burst of color but also conveyed the growth, beauty, and joy inherent in the memories being celebrated. On top of this bed of flowers, I placed two photo frames and my black and white photos and these frames served as windows.
For the title, I choose for the stunning gold-foil phrases and little puffy stickers from the beautiful Heart and Home collection. The words “Thankful for this life” were carefully arranged to convey the sentiment of gratitude, prompting a pause to reflect on the beauty and joy of the life shared with my beloved family. To balance the layout, I made a small cluster of flowers, leaves, and a word strip adorned the upper right corner of the heart. This added a touch of symmetry and completeness to the overall design. As a whimsical finishing touch, a few butterflies were scattered among the flowers, symbolizing the fleeting nature of life’s beautiful moments.
I am pleased with how this layout turned out, and I hope it inspires you in your own creative process. Thank you for joining me on this scrapbooking journey. Your visit to the blog today is truly appreciated, and I look forward to sharing more inspiration with you in the future. Until next time, happy crafting, and may your days be filled with gratitude and joy!
Hello Hello! It’s Michelle back today with another fun layout share using out beautiful Heart& Home Collection. I went with a rainbow assortment of pattern paper strips and some sweet family snaps. Kinda running low on photos to share these days, but I’m hoping the next few months of family celebrations will bring some fresh new snaps.
Now I’ll warn you, this post is very heavy in the photos, just not so much in the words. But sit back, relax with a drink and check out my newest creation..
I used almost all of the full colour pattern papers from the collection with a mix of multi colour papers and the typewriter text. I cut 2 strips from each piece that are roughly 1 inch wide, and left them all at different lengths to overlap at random heights in a blended colour order across the white background. I had intentions of sewing through the strips, but when creating late at night I tend to go off track from where I start.
Next up I gathered a few recent family snaps and printed them out in 2×2 and 2×2.5 inch size to back the cute frames from the ephemera pack and the cut apart frame from the GATHER paper. I used pieces of foam between the frame and the photo to make them look a little more realistic then adhered across the layout using more foam for dimension.
I layered in different forms of embellishments around the frames to add extra pops of interest, using a good mix of ephemera, fussy cut pieces, enamel shapes and accessorystickers
I added the Happy List from the GATHER paper which is perfect for adding our family list of loves at this present time. We certainly love our share of naughty foods, long car rides around our greater region of beaches and lots and lots of laughter
I added a loose string across the tops of the frames to make them look like they are strung across the layout. Mixing fibres like these is a good way to add a little texture to the layout.
Super cute photo of Leila and the doggo’s. No way they would sit this still ever again lol this must have been a fluke
I added the title to the bottom of the layout using the word FAMILY from the Ephemera pack along with the banner strip underneath. I used foam under these to pop them off the page giving more dimension to the bottom of the layout. Then I added the word sentiments from the accessory sticker sheet that work perfectly together in the area above the title.
Lastly I added a splattering of gold ink, some gold glittery splotches that dry like enamel dots, some tiny little fussy cut florals and then called it complete.
So many layers with all these strips gives so much texture to the layout which is a tick in my book.
Here’s a final look at the entire layout
Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by. Short and sweet with the words along with a total photo overload. I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this creation today, just as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Hey everyone, this is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and today I’m doing something a little different and am having a go at some paper weaving! I’m using the Heart & Home collection and started off with that beautiful stripy paper called Harvest. I spent a bit of time cutting out all the coloured stripes. They are quite narrow which is why I had the idea for the paper weaving.
Once my stripes were cut, I then cut them all in half. I then took a spare piece of cardstock and arranged the stripes in colour order, onto the cardstock in a vertical orientation. When I was about happy with the order and the size of the stripes altogether, I taped one end of all the stripes to the cardstock. I then took the horizontal stripes and began weaving them into the vertical ones, under, over, under, over etc. I repeated this until all stripes were weaved.
To secure the weaving I carefully peeled the taped ends from the cardstock and turned over the weaved piece. I then made sure the weaving was quite tight and then I put tape all over the back so the stripes couldn’t move. I ended up with a beautiful piece of paper weaving about 6” square.
I then set about making my layout. I added the weaved paper piece to a white card background, added two mounted photos and then added several pieces of Floral Ephemera. I also added a title using the beautiful gold foiled Title Ephemera and a few phrases cut from the Golden Fields paper.
I finished off with a few Puffy Stickers and some splatters of gold paint. Enjoy watching the process video below.
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
