Ulli here with you today sharing my first project for Cocoa Vanilla Studio! I´m so excited to be here! Thank you Zoe for having me!
This is actually my first layout using Cocoa Vanilla Studio supplies because it was impossible to get it in Germany before.
When I opened my Cocoa Vanilla Studio package, it was love at the first sight! All the papers and embellishments are so very pretty, I also love their texture!
I decided to start with the absolutely gorgeous new Wild At Heart collection and I created a big picture layout using a photo of myself from our after-wedding-shooting in September 2013. I am a fan of pastels and I love using a limited color palette. For this layout I chose shades of pink and peach.
I wanted to use a hibiscus cut file from the Silhouette design store and the Bloom wood veneer word from the Wild at Heart collection. I found this wonderful quote “Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace” and used my typewriter to complete the title. I typed all words except bloom directly on my white cardstock (above the photo and below the hibiscus flowers). I marked where to type with pencil and removed the pencil lines later.
I then placed my photo and backed the hibiscus flowers with the beautiful watercolor papers Luscious and Artisan from the Wild at Heart collection. I splattered some gold and black paint across the page and adhered the wood veneer word Bloom on the biggest blossom. Then I started decorating the layout with a paper flower and a woodie from the Endless Summer collection. The colors of this collection match the color palette of Wild at Heart perfectly! I love using word stickers very much, so I glued some of these from the chipboard and the accessory sticker sheets on the blossoms.
I also added a beautiful marbled chipboard heart, two super cute rubber charms, stickers and a star die cut.
To add some dimension to my layout, I used pop dots to adhere these. For a bit of accent and playfulness I decided to add a few of the gorgeous glitter enamel dots here and there. To finish off my layout I stitched down two chipboard stickers and one of the rubber charms with my sewing machine.
I hope you like how my layout turned out and I could inspire you in one way or another!
Thanks so much for joining me here today!
