One of our best moments as parents this year was witnessing our six year old daughter enjoy herself at the park. That day, she asked to go to the park to draw and have fun with her brother. The hubs and I were so encouraged to see her sing, draw and even write her own poem, as she basked in the evening sun. This photo in the layout caught her in mid action, oblivious to the fact that Mummy was taking her photos. I just had to scrap it using the yummy Endless Summer collection:
First, I used Coastal Chill as the background for my page. I decided to cut out some of the blooms in the paper and popped them up with foam tape to lend some dimension to the page, without it getting too busy.
To anchor my photo, I used a strip of Sunbleached paper and I love the ombre effect on it. I adhered my photo on top of it and accentuated my photo with all those glorious blooms from the die cut ephemera pack. I also attached a wood veneer to the blooms and I think the flowers really highlight the wood veneer piece.
I wrote my journaling and added some stickers to the top and bottom of the page. I also love how adding a woodies and enamel hearts lend so much oomph to the bottom of the page.
Finally, I framed the entire page with the b side of the background paper. Those blue stripes really are beautiful.
Thank you for joining me today and allowing me to share with you my interpretation of Endless Summer!
