Hello everyone!

Elodie here today with a new layout focusing on Easter. This time, I made a 8.5×11 page using the super pretty Make A Wish collection along with a sweet photo of my oldest daughter egg hunting in the garden back when she was 2. The soft, pastel colors of this line are perfect for Spring and Easter projects! There’s even a cute little bunny on the Party Mix paper!

For the background, I used white corrugated paper. I love the texture it gives to the page! I decided to go with a large photo this time. I backed it with the Loot Bag paper and placed it on the background with foam squares.

I then got busy making a banner under the photo using die cuts from the ephemera pack and pennants that I cut out from the Party Mix and Daydream papers. I adorned my banner with shiny sequins and pretty buttons from the bits & pieces pack.

I made little clusters at the bottom and at the top of the page with a doily that I cut in half and a pretty flower from the bits & pieces pack, paper pieces from the die cut ephemera pack, one of the flair buttons and a journaling strip with the date.

For the title, I went with a wood veneer word that I placed on the photo and adorned with a lovely butterfly from the ephemera pack, a button and sequins from the bits & pieces pack. To add dimension to my layout, I folded the paper pieces gently and used foam squares.

I love the festive Make A Wish line with its spring colors and patterns! I hope my layout inspires you to create with it and give 8.5×11 pages a try!

Thank you for visiting the CVS blog today! Wishing you a lovely day!

Wild Heart | Wild at Heart | Elodie Lusseau

Hi Cocoa Vanilla Studio friends!

Elodie here today with a new layout featuring the gorgeous Wild at Heart line, that is now available in the CVS online store, and photos of my youngest girl playing on the beach last summer. This collection suits her perfectly: she sure is a wild one, always happy and full of life!

To go with my summery pics, I went with bright and warm colors for the background. I cut out strips from the Fussy Cuts paper, with its pretty coral stripes, and placed them on either side of a white cardstock sheet.

I adhered the photos at the top of the page with foam squares to make them pop out a bit more and then got busy embellishing. I fussy cut flowers from the Luscious paper and arranged them under the pics. I just can’t get enough of these Wild at Heart florals! So beautiful!

To echo the blue on the photos, I cut out two strips from the lovely floral vellum sheet and placed them on the left-hand side of the page. I then added more Wild at Heart embellies under and around the pics: pretty die cuts from the ephemera pack, a cute rubber charm, a tab from the accessory stickers sheet, one of the beautiful chipboard frames and a doily from my stash.

One of my favorites from the Wild at Heart collection, along with the florals, are the pretty butterflies. I fussy cut a couple of them from the Mariposa paper, folded them for dimension and added them to my photo cluster. My next step was to layer a cute chipboard heart from the chipboard accent stickers sheet and wood veneer words for the title on the flowers under the pics. Last but not least, I sprinkled a couple of veneer hearts and sparkly enamel dots around the photos and placed word stickers for the journaling at the bottom of the page.

There is so much to love about this amazing collection and I hope my page inspires you to play with it!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Have a fantastic day!

Hello everyone!

Elodie here today with a new page using the beautiful Wild at Heart collection and a photo of my girls playing on the beach. We are lucky to live by the sea and we love to go for walks on the beach. I always make sure to bring my camera with me and you’ll often see beach pictures on my layouts!

This time, I was inspired by the Mariposa paper and its pretty butterflies and I decided to create a big butterfly on my page. I started by backing a piece of white cardstock with the lovely Double Dot paper. I placed one of the chipboard frames on the pic and adhered it with foam squares in the center of the page. I love this light blue frame with the black and white photo and how it echoes the borders of the layout!

I fussy cut butterflies from the Mariposa paper, folded them for dimension and placed them on either side of the photo so as to make butterfly wings. I also added a couple of enamel dots to add a bit of sparkle to my page.

I then got busy completing the body of my butterfly by placing word stickers from the accessory stickers sheet, a pennant from the ephemera pack and a chipboard sticker for the title above and under the photo.

I finished off my layout by adorning the frame with a die cut and a cute paper bow from the ephemera pack as well as one of the pretty Wild at Heart flair buttons.

I hope this page inspires you to play with your scissors and create with the gorgeous Wild at Heart line!

Thank you for joining me on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog today! Wishing you a lovely day and a great weekend ahead!

She Belongs With The Wildflowers | Wild at Heart | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-02-25T03:53:23+00:00 March 3rd, 2017|Design Team, Inspiration, Wild at Heart|

Hi CVS friends!

It’s Elodie here today and I’m so happy to be back with you to share a new layout using beautiful papers and ephemera from the brand new Wild at Heart collection and a photo of my wild at heart girl wandering in the garden last spring.

While I was going through the die cut ephemera pack, I came across the cute She belongs with the wildflowers die cut that was a perfect match for this sweet pic of my little one. With this die cut in mind for the title, I decided to create a spring scene in a frame using the gorgeous Wild at Heart florals.

To echo the bright colors of the photo, I picked the Artisan paper and its pretty splashes of watercolors for my background. I cut out the two parts of the frame in the Luscious and Mariposa papers, curved them gently and placed them in the center of the page, on a piece of the lovely floral vellum sheet. I love how the colorful borders of the Artisan paper make a beautiful halo around the frame!

I adhered the pic in the frame with foam squares to make it pop a bit more and then got busy embellishing. I fussy cut gorgeous flowers from the Luscious paper and tucked them in two opposite corners of the frame and under the photo.

I added more flowers from the die cut ephemera pack and placed paper corners, pretty butterflies and the title, that I adorned with paper leaves, on the frame. I sprinkled sparkly enamel dots on some of the flowers and my little scene was complete!

I loved putting this page together and I hope it inspires you to get your crafty fingers on this fantastic collection! I’m sure you’re going to love it!

Thanks so much for visiting the CVS blog today! Have a beautiful day!

So Very Beautiful | Wild at Heart | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-02-13T20:47:16+00:00 February 17th, 2017|Design Team, Inspiration, Wild at Heart|

Hello everyone!

Elodie here today with a layout using a photo of my oldest girl and the upcoming Wild at Heart collection. I am so in love with every single bit of this gorgeous line: the pretty and soft colors, the watercolor style, the delicate and romantic patterns. It’s all so beautiful!

The patterned papers are all so yummy that I had a difficult time choosing one for my background! I finally went with the Artisan paper and its gray woodgrain. I then grabbed the chipboard frames and placed them sideways on the page. I love the way they pop against the gray background!

I added the matted photo in the center with foam squares, adorned it with a chipboard heart from the chipboard stickers sheet and then got busy embellishing. I fussy cut pretty flowers from the Luscious paper and tucked them in two of the frames. The florals in this collection are just amazing!

I filled the frames with paper pieces from the ephemera pack: more flowers, hearts, an arrow, a bow and a cute butterfly. I then got the super pretty rubber charms out of their package and adhered them on some of the frames, along with a tab sticker from the accessory stickers sheet. I used another rubber charm for the title. They add even more dimension and texture to my page.

I added some word stickers from the accessory stickers sheet for the journaling, sprinkled a few glittery enamel dots on the page and my layout was complete!

I had so much fun with this page and it all came together really easily. I just wanted to use a little bit of everything from this beautiful line on my layout! That’s how awesome the Wild at Heart collection is!

Thank you so much for stopping by the CVS blog today! Wishing you a lovely day and a great weekend!

Hello Love | Make A Wish | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-01-31T20:31:49+00:00 February 3rd, 2017|Design Team, Inspiration, Make A Wish|

Hi everyone!

I am so thrilled to be sharing my first project for Cocoa Vanilla Studio with you today! It’s going to be all about love on the CVS blog for the next couple of weeks. To illustrate this theme, I made this blue and pink page using the beautiful Make A Wish collection and a sweet photo of my girls snapped last summer.

For the background, I went for the Hip Hooray paper and its lovely navy stripes. I cut out a strip from the Party Dots paper, stitched the borders and placed it vertically on the background, along with thinner strips from the Loot Bag and Daydream papers. I just love the blues in this line! So pretty!

I picked some pink die cuts from the ephemera pack and lined them up on the left-hand side of the page, along with the matted photo. I then went back to blue and cut out hearts from the beautiful Daydream paper. I placed them at the top of the floral strip and adorned them with blue alphabet stickers and more paper pieces from the die cut ephemera pack. I folded the paper hearts gently and adhered them with foam squares for dimension. I love the soft and dreamy touch those blue on blue hearts give to the page!

For the title, I made a little cluster on the pic with another die cut and one of the gorgeous flair buttons. Last but not least, the pretty pink bow and shiny sequins from the bits & pieces bag add the perfect finishing touch to my girly layout!

I hope this page inspires you to play with the gorgeous Make A Wish line that can be used for birthday projects and much more!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely day!
